Please dont use this company. They lost the ashes of my friends kid and most of her belongings. They will pay back only$6 per pound. Her husband found stuff in perfect condition in the trash after the truck got on fire.

This complaint has come to us previously.

Please know that we are NOT the van line that relocated the household goods!!

This complaint needs to be addressed with the correct van lines.

Allied Van Lines was not involved in this relocation and the Claimant has mistaken us for another company.

      Thank you

The U.S government hired this company for our move from REMOVEDto REMOVED, in June 23rd of 2025 my household items to include my only child's remains were burned in a freak accident during transport on the highway outside REMOVED, we were NOT notified until July 2nd, out of the 9 crates we shipped, 5 were completely destroyed by the fire, 4 remained with fire, smoke and water damage. I flew from REMOVEDto REMOVEDto try and recover my child's remains, hoping they were in one of the damaged crates. Once there, they opened the crates and the smell of mold canceled the inspection and couldn't go through my belongings, they said a special group from REMOVEDwould clean my items before returning them to me. Long story short: SERVPRO threw into the garbage my daughter's belongings and mementos, unpacked and repacked valuables that I received broken, stole some of my valuables, and the insurance policy? $6 per pound, 9k pounds in total, $54,000 out of which $27,000 will go to SERVPRO! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY and double check your contract!

Unfortunately, we are not finding a shipment under this name or record of this. In order to obtain information from the proper International parties I will need to have either a GBL number for the relocation or a SCAC code that this moved under.

We are sorry for the circumstances but do not have any record of this relocation

Ordered a crate to be moved to REMOVED. Very professional packing. The problem is that the crate was unpacked before getting to the delivery point. We did not get the crate that was carefully packed but singles boxes crammed in a van. There would have been no problems if the crate had been delivered. Allied Security are agents for Allied Van Lines and of course each one is sending us to the other for not abiding by the contract we signed. We paid Security Allied ahead of time for the whole amount (they were extremely insistent about this) but yet took no responsibility later. Do not use this company and certainly not Van Lines They will not help you if you encounter problems down the line. Leaving the same review for their partners of course

March 28, 2026 On December 2nd of last year one of Allied VanLines trucks crashed into the fence in front of of my home while making a turn on the street in front of my house. Instead of stopping to see the damaged the driver drove away.Luckily my neighbors security cameras recorded the incident but when I reported this to Allied Van Lines I was given a runaround in spite of the fact I sent them the videos showing their truck damaging my fence. Their REMOVEDoffered excuses like maybe their truck was stolen or maybe someone painted a truck to look like one of theirs! When I was told a supervisor would call me, after weeks of asking, they never did. Finally in desperation I privately messaged the president of the company on their REMOVEDpage to let him know about the serious damage that their driver caused but over a month has passed and in spite of repeated reminders he never contacted me either. So now Im going public. If they treat an 87 year old like this that is only trying to get his fence put back the way it was I hate to think how they would treat a typical customer REMOVED

We are very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused.

Unfortunately, we are unable to resolve this issue through this BBB site.

The claimant needs to call the accident reporting as they are the department that can assist. REMOVED

I moved my entire house from northern REMOVEDto REMOVED, and then to a storage unit right outside of REMOVED. When the Allied representative came by to estimate the job at my house in N.J., he told me that it would be taken care of with the best people in the business. When I told him I wanted certain items moved with care regarding Electronics namely televisions, exercise equipment, and such, he told me there was an option for them to pack all the electronic devices so they would not be damaged. I paid extra for the service and upgraded the insurance policy from .60 cents a pound to zero dollar deductible with full replacement on everything that was being moved and arrived damaged. What they don't tell you is that anything going to a storage unit is not covered by this policy. When the delivery to my house arrived in mid-January, everything the crew packed in N.J was damaged. I filed a claim with the Fort REMOVEDheadquarters, and they told me that they would not pay on the claim because there was a notation on the reverse side of the bill of lading that gave them a pass on any damage to electronics. If I had known this before I asked them to give me the white glove service, I never would have used Allied Van Lines. I won't make this mistake again. If I could give this company a negative star, I would. They don't deserve 1 star.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.  However, to fully check into this we will need the customer's full name and/or registration number for their relocation. REMOVEDZ is not something we can look up in your system. Please provide the information and we will look into this and respond properly.

Firstly if you want to read some out right lies look at the reviews on their own website. All 5 stars, such BS. Must be their own employees. The sales person could not estimate for sREMOVEDt. Took 2 attempts and still had an overflow causing things to get lost or stolen in the warehouse transit program because I needed a second truck. The packers - all subcontract from REMOVEDspoke no english. A guy called REMOVEDin REMOVEDhired these from wherever. No order to the packing sREMOVEDt thrown in everywhere. Over $4000 worth of damage. Stuff was missing on the overflow load. No one in the corporate office gives a sREMOVEDt. DO NOT USE THEM.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration, anger, and inconvenience this customer has experienced from their relocation and claim settlement.

The customer filed multiple claims and received multiple checks for damages claimed and also had an item repaired. There were items claimed as missing that were not documented at delivery and therefore were denied.

It was unfortunate that the entire load did not fit on the first truck and there was an overflow. This is never a good situation for all parties involved.

The customer filed arbitration and negotiated for an additional settlement. We have done all we can for this customer and again sincerely apologize for all the frustration.

We hired Allied Van Lines for an interstate move from REMOVEDto REMOVEDand purchased Full Replacement Value Protection with a $0 deductible. A significant number of our household goods were damaged or went missing, and multiple paid-for services were not performed, constituting a clear breach of contract. While some low-value items were approved, higher-value items remain unresolved, and we were improperly required to obtain third-party diagnostics at our own expense because Allied claimed they do not have adjusters for appliances or exercise equipment. The overall handling of our move and claim demonstrated gross unprofessionalism, neglect, and disregard for customer property, resulting in avoidable damage. Months later, the claim remains incomplete. Dealing with claims administration through REMOVEDhas been extremely difficult, frustrating, and ineffective. The claims process has been unnecessarily complex, slow, and burdensome, creating significant frustration for consumers with full-time jobs and family obligations. In my experience, this type of process can have the effect of discouraging consumers from continuing to pursue valid claims for their damaged items. It appears structured in a way that places excessive obstacles on customers seeking compensation. In my opinion, this type of conduct undermines the protections consumers reasonably expect under federal household-goods regulations, and many consumers may give up rather than pursue formal legal action. I strongly caution anyone considering Allied Van Lines to carefully evaluate claim handling practices and consider a more reputable, professional moving company.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this claim has caused the customer. We do realize that having damages and going through the claim process can be time consuming and difficult.

We encourage the customer to continue with the claims department and hope for a resolution soon.

Again, we truly apologize for the inconvenience as it is never the intention of the carrier.

I am very familiar with cross-country moves, so I paid more for what I thought would be a premium experience this time. Unfortunately, Allied was an unbelievably horrible experience from the beginning to the end, and I would not wish this upon my worst enemy. They claim to be all one company, but it was clear that every stage was a different entity with no context or continuity. They are just as bad as a broker. As soon as they sold us on the quote, the sales people were non-existent, and we could not get a hold of anyone. Everyone's email response was that they were out of office, and the customer service phone line just redirected, until we ultimately gave up and hoped that they would show up on time. We paid so much money for them to pack and unload our stuff, and they were surprised both that they had to pack and unload (both sets of movers, in REMOVEDA small two bedroom apartment took them 12 hours to pack up, and we were late to get on the road for the move. They took breaks all of the time, never apologized, and never hurried. REMOVEDforgot that we had our stuff in storage, and were surprised when we called to tell them about the date to unload our things. When the movers showed up, even though we paid for the unload, they scammed us and never notated it in the contract, and we had to unload everything ourselves. I was in my third trimester of pregnancy and they still wouldn't budge. All of our TVs were broken. My desk chair had the head ripped off. Our things were not handled with any care. One of the movers clearly had no experience and scratched up our new walls, doors, and wooden floors. When we went to manage the damage, we submitted the claim within 24 hours, and it took them 3 months to send someone, and 6 months to receive a check from them. I cannot believe that this company is allowed to exist, and I am writing this review in hopes that you will see this before you book and avoid suffering through this poor treatment from Allied.

We are very sorry that the customer experienced difficulty with their move.  They are currently working with customer service, who will provide a response directly to the customer.

The customer should have had no difficulty in reaching customer service when the move was in progress.  If a representative is not immediately available, the call goes to a voice mail system.  Had a voice message been left, the call would have been returned as soon as a representative became available.

Allied received two claim forms, one on July 29 and a second listing the household goods damage on September 4.  A settlement check was issued to the customer on December 8.

The customer service representative is researching the customer's concerns and will provide a response as quickly as possible.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to respond.

We moved from REMOVEDto REMOVED. It was a big move. The team on the ground in REMOVEDwas great as as well as the estimator. However, the team on the ground in REMOVEDwas less than stellar. Several issues putting together furniture, as well as damage to several things. The main thing being our dining room table with a butterfly leaf. I did submit a claim for that and they sent a repair person out. Once he made the repair, he put the leaf back in and close the table. We recently moved into a new home and moved the table ourselves into the new home, which had a bigger dining space so we expanded the table only to find out that the repair did not hold and the leaf is unusable. I called and submitted another claim. They were going to send the same company back out, I called the company and let them know our address had changed. They proceeded to call the adjuster back and let them know the table was located at a different address. The adjuster denied our claim and said since the table had been moved from the place that Allied dropped off the table, which was an apartment and temporary, they would not cover the repair again. What? We moved 8 miles down the road! The company that they sent out didnt do quality work to maintain the functionality of our table so now were stuck with an unusable dining room table. What a joke.

We are very sorry for the damage which occurred to the customer's table.  Since the table has been moved again, by a party not affiliated with the Carrier, we cannot accept a claim for any additional damages.  We cannot confirm if the damage is the result of the repair, or if it occurred when the customer moved the table on their own to another location.  The distance of the move is not a factor, as the damage could have occurred either on removal from the original residence or delivery to the new residence.  The customer could have inspected the item immediately upon the completion of the repairs, but it appears that they did not do so.  For these reasons, the denial on the second claim must be upheld.

Thank you for the opportunity to explain.

They only broke 2 things so I guess they did an ok job. However they refused to pay for the damages, which totalled about $1000 even though we paid for the extra insurance. They send a shoddy "repairman" to take a look at the damage who then of course recommends they dont claim responsibility for the damage. I wouldnt use them again and I certainly wouldnt pay for the insurance.

We sincerely apologize that the Claimant had damages to report from the relocation.

The claim file was reviewed a decision was made based on the repair specialist recommendations and paperwork.

The Claimant has now filed for arbitration so the case will be reviewed and determined by an arbitrator.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused.
