I had American Weathermakers do my yearly tune up in Sept or October. The furnace was working. This was just a yearly tune up. I only use the part of the house that the furnace in question heats when I am doing a craft project. And so I keep the thermostat at 60 degrees. The fall was very mild. The temperatures dipped at Thanksgiving and I was doing a project that weekend so I turned the thermostat up. The heat did not come on. ?? I just had it tuned up. Its supposed to work. I called them to come out. No warranty?? This was the first time it was used. The man who came told me that there was a part not working. He had the part in his hand as told me he was going to configure the furnace differently, but it would be safe. ?!?! After 2 hours working, he told me that he couldnt do it and he would try to fix the old part- which he had in his hands. I said just order me a new part. I reminded him (which I told him when he came) that this was not an emergency. He insisted and after another 1/2 hour gave up. He said he was sure they had the part at the office and someone would install it. It cost me $353 to not have heat. I spoke to the office the next day and they said that there was no mention of needing a new part, but that the tech fixed what was wrong but then something else broke and I needed a Senior tech because he couldnt do it. I am upset because I paid to join their club to get a tune up that seems to have broken the furnace. Then, I paid $353 to continue to have a broken furnace. And he lied to me about it needing a part. He just couldnt fix it. And they said he fixed what was wrong but something else broke! Who was working on the furnace when it broke? He was! Arent they responsible to have it work after the tune up? Why am I paying more money because he cant fix it? Why wasnt a senior tech who knows his job sent out to begin with? So I have to pay $353 because they sent out someone who is incompetent?

I reviewed the customer complaint and agree with them, bill modifications were needed beyond what was offered by service on 12/18/24 when the repair was done. All charges that were billed on 12/04/24 were waived and the money reapplied to the repairing service visit on 12/18/24. There is a credit due to the customer once our proposed solution is accepted. Waiting on response.

11 July 2024/// In August '22 I bought a replacement AC/Furnace for our condo. from Amer.Weather. Price: $8,400. After I repeatedly cleaned the factory- installed (cheapy-cheap) plastic filter which finally "met it's maker" this year. Cleaning it was no longer an option. I tried to replace the factory filter with ordinary, store-bought filters but they simply did not fit in the slots for the filter. Called Am. Weather this past June and explained my problem. Some guy there (I never understood his name) promised twice to come to our condo (since he "would be nearby anyway") & show me how to replace the worn-out factory filter with a new store-bought one. I bought the replacement filter at Menards and waited patiently for the guy to show up. Both times he neither showed up nor called to cancel. I called Am. Weather. several times & left messages. No one there has called back. I told them that I would report them to B.B.B. InvoiceI'm tired of trying to get these people off their butts and fulfill some commonsense business commitments. This is the "quality" follow-up service they provide for $8,400.?!?!?! Come ON ****************** ************

On November 16, 2021. I purchased a boiler for $5,000.00. On March 2, 2023 I had problems with boiler working. I called American Weathermakers the Compression Tank valve was letting out water. I was told to pay $98. I made American Weathermakers aware that I was unhappy with service and the whole point of me purchasing a boiler is to no longer pay for repairs. On March 21, 2023 the motherboard went out. I ask to speak with the Mgr. The Mgr name was ********** asked could he come out to diagnose why the boiler wasn't working and made him aware how cold it was in home. He stated that if I paid $1000.00 he would come out. I was insulted and unsure there would be any additional problems. After days passed I went with different contractor. I am very unhappy with service.

I completely understand why this is frustrating and disconcerting. Boilers have the shorted warranties in the industry of HVAC. Now the service manager should of showed concern for the issue and gave you options.  Options would of be short because the manufacturer will not honor any type of warranty when something else causes the damage. It was was well documented since the install that your domestic water pipe was leaking on our boiler. We offered on multiple occasions to help have it repaired. This condition was left un-repaired to the point when it damanged the main control board of the boiler. Please let me know if you still need to get thT repaired. I really want to help. Please call me direct if you want to work something out. We want to be very reasonable, but without your involvement we can not fix further problems in your home. If you'd like photos or anything else please call ne. ******* ************ Direct Line.
