This has been an incredible learning experience. LDMO seen legit from the first quote. My rep., Joshua assured me that they have a fantastic BBB rating and insisted I work with them even though I received a lower rate elsewhere. He explained that they own their own fleet of trucks, unlike the other company who is a "broker". He sounded convincing enough and I proceeded. I will say they were very accommodating when I needed to reschedule both the pick-up date and the drop off date. However, the driver showed up at 4:00 PM and were at my house until 10:00 PM. I thought it was ridiculous but excited non the less. My delivery date (after I had requested a change) was scheduled. I was told to expect a call 24 hours in advance of my 5 day window. My delivery date came and went with no update or communication from Joshua or Heather notifying me that there was a delay. I have called numerous times only to be told that they would check with dispatch and get back to me. This has not happened and now they are not picking up my calls or responding to texts. This certainly is not 5 Star behavior. Delays are understandable and acceptable. lack of communication is not. Beware!

I do not recommend this company. I worked with them a couple months before the move and 2 days before they were to come and pack us up they called and said they didn't have a truck coming out way and cancelled our move. We were stuck to find a company in one day which also cost us over double the original invoice. We were very upset with them.

This Company provided literally the worst service experience we’ve ever had with any company in our lives. We decided to hire movers because my wife was 7 months pregnant and we thought it would be a more peaceful way to complete our move. We were very wrong. We paid Long Distance Moving Experts over $900 beyond their normal rates for their “guaranteed delivery date” of July 3rd. On the front end, they picked up our stuff two days later than promised, costing us hundreds of dollars in additional rent and fees for overstaying our previous lease. Then, they didn’t complete our delivery until July 31st, 28 days after our “guaranteed delivery date”. You can imagine the stress that caused my wife who wanted to “nest” and prepare for our first baby at our new home. During those 28 days we were lied to, ignored, and disrespected again and again. In the end they also ignored our requests for any kind of refund, and in fact, tried to get my wife to pay more than originally agreed upon when they finally showed up for delivery. I’ve never been more disappointed with a company. I’m writing this review to caution others against working with this moving company as I do not want anyone else to feel as cheated as we do.

I am not even sure where to begin. This is a terrible company and other than hoping that this and other review forces them out of business, there really is nothing I can do at the moment. I moved from Chicago to Austin and spoke originally with the sales rep Adam Carr. He guaranteed that my items would arrive July 22, that I would only be charged for one flight of stairs, and that if I was unable to get my items at the time of delivers, that they would store everything for me for up to 30 days. I did not need the storage because he had guaranteed it's arrival on the 22nd, so I drove down to Austin to be there when the shipment arrived. It never came. Fast forward to August 13 and my items finally arrived. Mind you this is after I called every day explaining that I am a teacher and needed the items on the truck to set up my classroom for the new year. When they finally came with the shipment, they texted my at 9:30 at night saying they would be there for following morning even though I was supposed to be informed 24 hours in advance. I explained to them that I had spoken with Stella and Heather (really I think this is the same woman pretending to be two different people because her voice is exactly the same) and told them that since I was a teacher I could not leave my job during the day to receive the shipment and asked if they could come at 4:00. His response "no." Thankfully my cousin was able to receive the shipment for me but when they arrived instead of being charged for one flight of stairs as Adam had promised, I was charged for 3, an additional $225. I was unaware that this extra charge was going to be added, so I did not leave enough cash for my cousin. The hard part is they require you to have a money order or cash ready for when they get there, not sure how to get money orders without knowing the total seeing as how they add on surprise charges. They refused to deliver my items and were extremely rude and hostile towards my cousin. She texted me and I had to leave work, drop off the additional money and then go back to work otherwise they said they were going to leave the items on the curb. They "set up" my furniture and in the process broke every item. Every piece of furniture was damaged in someway, even if it was very minor. I had an antique desk whose top was pulled off and the back board of the desk pulled out so it no longer stays up. The bottom drawer on the left no longer opens because of the damage to the structure of the desk. I had a king size bed with a headboard and under bed storage drawers. In the contract the movers were responsible for putting the bed together. The track on one of the drawers was completely ripped off and the drawer will not slide in because of this and the bottom drawer of the bed on the left side had the plastic piece used to guide the drawer onto the track was snapped. The movers put a gouge in my kitchen counter which I am not liable to pay for as I am renting the unit and they also smashed a hole in the wall when the couch got stuck as they were rearranging everything. When asked if they were going to fix it the response was "it's one dollar at Walmart" and they refused to fix it. These are the major concerns. As stated, every piece is broken or damaged in someway, these are simply the most substantial. I have picture as proof of all the damage done. I cannot stress enough, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They need to go under because it's horrendous.
