I am a landlord. I am in a leasing contract with the Company known as, "Apartment People". They seem to have "documentation". that holds myself accountable for actions in which in reality hold no support. The agreement I had with them, is that they secure a tenant for my property, and I send them a check. One of the agents claimed my move-in fee was "too high". I found his opinion rude, as my fee had always been $650.The tenant was secured and a check was made payable to apartment people. They made statements that I am holding the agent commission check "hostage. An ignorant statement. I have the check and ready to drop off immediately after the adjustments have been made. I had made a fair proposal, where I had a check for $1000. Due to being short for $350, because the supposed move-in fee was $250 instead of $650. I had made the offer of deducting the $350 from the $1000. I had proposed this, and the owner of the apartment people was not interested and continued to attack my character. I do believe the agent who showed the apartment, deserves the commission and does not wish to prolong his check. AS he earned it. I only feel responsibility should be shown and proper adjustments. Do I have the evidence to make a proper case? As the dispute is for $350. On more than two occasions I called them to make changes to the listing of our apartment garden unit because parking available had changed. Yet they would call me and ask if parking space was negotiable? In which I repeated that we had previously discussed that parking was NO LONGER available. Other inconsistencies are they never made me aware that they no longer handle the lease as of January 2020 again never gave us notice about their lessen services.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First, they lied to us before we signed a lease about something the landlord agreed to clean and repair, and basically used that to get us to sign the lease faster. After being incredibly rude about us filling out our condo paperwork and fees out on time, we moved in to find out that they had not sent any of our checks or fees to the condo - so literally took our money. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone - they will do anything to get a lease signed including lying.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Internally we take detailed notes on every transaction through the process when anyone who uses our service to find an apartment that a landlord listed with us to find a tenant. Once an apartment is chosen, the agent and their client (in this case Francesca is the client) will make detailed notes of what needs to be done to the apartment prior to move in such as any repairs that need to be completed, painting, cleaning etc. that will get passed along to the landlord to review with your application. The landlord should have had plenty of time to take care of everything before your move in. I will review everything to make certain that was completed. Being that we do not own or manage the properties that we list I do not have cleaning crews on staff or handy men to turn over units for landlords. In this case, out of customer service alone I would like to offer you a $100 discount to help with whatever cleaning costs that you must have incurred upon move in and or frustration the process may have caused. As for the condo fees, I am a bit unclear on what happened there so I will review that as well. A lot of condo's have a process and require more efforts mostly on us to coordinate lease, paperwork that both you and the landlord need to complete, as well as execution of the lease. Date of application, date the landlord gave the final approval, date you and landlord executed the lease with our processing department as well as when we received all of the completed fees so we can get it all over to the condo board to review. I appreciate both you informing of the problem Frencesca and out of customer service please accept my gift of $100 discount and you are welcome to send me any other details in regards to your experience that you think may help us improve the process.
