Took my Tundra in on Friday at 8:20 am to have a **** issue and a sonar sensor problem fixed. Was told by my service advisor ***** ******* in the afternoon that the part had to be ordered and would be fixed first thing Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I called and found out that they would not be getting any orders in on Saturday and Monday or Tuesday would be the earliest the truck could be repaired. ***** either straight out lied to me or he simply didnt care to know the facts. Since I live on the other side of the state I would have just picked up my truck and gone home if I had known it would not be fixed timely. As it is just a sensor, I could deal with it at a later date. Since ***** wasnt honest with me, it cost me an extra day in ***** that I didnt need to incur. On the positive side, Peterson Toyota service manager **** did not charge me for the diagnostic or to fix the **** issue. But Im still out the needless expense of staying in ***** an extra day. Ill give two stars because of ****.

Very dishonest dealership. I purchased a 2015 Grand Cherokee and was assured it was a clean vehicle with no issues. Drove it back to *********** and had it inspected by my local Jeep dealership. I was shocked to learn it was going to cost me Eight thousand dollars to repair and make it safe for future driving. I contacted Peterson Toyota in ***** and submitted the repairs that I had performed on the Vehicle. I asked for compensation for half of the cost of repairs. They said sorry that I had to make the repairs and would not help with the cost as I had bought the vehicle "As Is". With the amount of work this vehicle needed, they should have wholesaled it to me with the stipulation that it needs major repairs. They just don't care!! They shouldn't be allowed to operate a business like this.

My husband purchased a gmc truck from Peterson Toyota February 2024, two weeks later the check engine light came on. He took the truck back and they told us that they would take care of it. We dropped the truck off at the ***** dealer. Over the course of the last 4 months we have had the truck in our possession for maybe 7 days. The rest of the time it has been at the ***** dealer getting fixed. As soon as we get the truck back the check engine light comes back on within 24 hours. After four months of making payments and paying insurance on a vehicle we have barely even had the dealership decided they were done fixing it. So here we are stuck with a 2017 gmc truck with the check engine light on that needs thousands of dollars in repair. I would never make another purchase nor would I ever recommend Peterson Toyota. They have zero integrity.

My Used Vehicle Director has spoken to *****'s husband and we have agreed to pay for the repair. What *************** needs to understand is that they signed no less than 4 documents that the 2017 GMC Truck they purchased was an 'As-Is' vehicle. GMC stopped warranting that vehicle in 2020...so how would a Toyota dealer be able to warranty a vehicle thats almost 5 years out of warranty from the company that built the vehicle. We sell cheaper vehicles for people that don't want to spend thousands more on a new vehicle. However, with that, comes risk that the consumer must accept...and the risk is that it is used and not under any sort of factory warranty. We don't have a crystal **** that will tell us what vehicles will last, and for how long.

If *************** doesn't remove this review, then it makes it difficult for us to want to help when the 'As-Is' forms they signed clearly state that our dealership will not be responsible for any repairs...yet we are indeed covering the repair.

I put a deposit down on a new Camry that had not yet been delivered. Found out they had snuck in extra charges for accessories I did not approve. When the vehicle arrived, the vehicle had different options then indicated on their website posting. The posting did not indicate the vehicle may be different then the post

My elderly father took his Toyota in because he was having trouble starting the car and didn't know the icon indicated battery problems. After looking at the icon, he told my father he needed to do a diagnostic test and then charged him $80.00 plus the cost of the battery. He knew what that icon meant! Totally taking advantage of the elderly. Shame!!!

If they s**** up multiple oil changes, how can you trust them to take care of real problems? Peterson Toyota has truly horrible service. OK, let's adjust that ... friendly people and careless shoddy work.I have two nearly new cars: a Rav4 Hybrid, and an Avalon Hybrid. I took the Avalon in for an oil change. I arrived back to my home. A few hours later I pulled the car out of the garage and discovered a 6" pool of oil under the car. I climbed under the car only to find a big oily mess. I took the car back to Peterson's, explained the situation, and after another hour wait, they said ... "yeah, we tightened up the oil filter and it should be OK now ... ". I decided to change my own oil the next time ... only to find the oil filter had been torqued down so tight I broke a mechanics-grade tool "trying" to take it off. I took it back to Peterson's and they were able to get it off. I showed them the bent tools.Yesterday, I took the RAV4 in for the one year service and oil change. Drove it home and the next morning noticed fresh oil spots in the driveway and in the ********* jacked up the car, looked underneath and found another big oily mess spread across the plate that covers the access to the filter. There was no question where the dripping oil came from. The service tech didn't even bother to run a rag over the mess they'd created. Shoddy careless work is what I've received from Peterson Toyota Service. Again, if they can't do something simple, will you trust them with something really important? You've been warned!
