On April 30, **** cut and colored my hair. I was charged $209.42 for this service, and an additional $31.41 for a leave conditioner. During this service I mentioned on several occasions, that I wanted a hair cut that did not require blow drying and styling after washing it. This is not what I got at all. During the service, I pointed out that several pieces were sticking out, some were not falling into place. **** said she wants them to grow in. I did not expect to pay $209 for a hair cut that will possibly grow into someting that looks right. On 5/5, I called the salon and asked if she could make an adjustment. They concurred and booked me for an appointment on 5/6 at 5 p.m. When I arrived, the receptionist said that **** "is not comfortable doing my hair, and there is no one else who can help me." I am an elder who has have a lot of trouble with mobility due to a back and hip issue. **** was well aware of this, because it was quite evident when she did my hair. If another professional could not be available for the appointment, the salon could have called me ahead of time so that I would not have had the hardship of traveling all the way there with a handicapping condition. Their failure to do so is highly disrespeful, inconsiderate and execptionally bad business. It's no way to treat an elder with a handicapping condition. I also asked for a refund of $31.41 for the product **** recommended which is of no use to me. Even though I explained that the product had never been used, the salon refused to give me a refund. It is the least they could have done. The rude and inconsiderate receptionist made no attempt to resolve the matter, nor did she offer any amicable options. This is no way to treat a disabled elder who spent over $240.I am requesting a refund for the hair cut in the amount of $100 plus tax and for the product in the amount of $31.41. It is the least they could do for such a horrendous hair cut and treatment.Sincerely,

Unfortunately, due to the fact that you were verbally abusive to our staff, we had to decline to do your service that day. We wish you all the best in the future.

I am rejecting this response because: their claim that I was verbally abusive is an absolute lie. Any repulable salon would ***** want to find out why the customer was unhappy with the haircut and follow though with making adjustments. The stylist could have asked me what I did not like about the hair cut and could have offered a few suggtestions about how to stlyle it.. She could have trimmed the bangs, and perhaps adjusted a few stands of hair here and there. That's all she needed  to do.  Instead, she had me come in for an appointment, knowing that I can barely walk, and then did not even have the decency to see me.  She kwew I have mobility issues. The salon could have offered another solution, i.e., having another stylist take a look. As a coutesy, given this situation, the least they could have done was reimburse me for the product this stylist erroneously recommeded.  No customer deserves to be abused like this. The snarkly clerk who mishandled this matter demonstated the utmost disrsepect for an elder with a disability. This salon's pernicious response is a form of gasligting. Without a doubt, I regret having trusted this salon and sincerely hope management will train their staaff to treat customers in a kind and respectful manner.

      Sincerely,

We stand by our original response, that due to this customer's abusive speech and behavior we decline to have her as a client.

The salon's response is unacceptable because it is a lie. This complaint is unresolved. There is no way I would ever want to be a client of this place. They provided a lousy haricut. They scheduled an appointment with me and refused to honor it after I travelled all the way there with a severe mobility issue. That alone is abusive. Any professional salon would have honored the appointment. The clerk said the stylist refused to make any adjustments to the haircut. They could have called me in advance to notify me that they were unwilling to folow through with the appointment. The clerk needs to learn how to treat clients with respect. There are other front desk people there who are very nice, e.g., *****, but she was not there that day. This salon's response is proof of their lack of professionalism and poor management.

      Sincerely,

      **** Ann ********
