I am living with a diagnosis of REMOVED, a degenerative disease which destroys the muscles of the arms and legs. In January 2026 I asked my physical therapist at REMOVEDabout obtaining an entry ramp for my home since the new staircase I had constructed was increasingly difficult to use. She suggested, given the likely course of the disease, that I get a platform lift instead. Relying on recommendations from the REMOVEDI contracted on January 29, 2026, to purchase a platform lift from Home Pro Mobility located in REMOVED, REMOVED. The lift was installed on February 25, 2026 and stopped working on March 30, 2026. I notified Home Pro Mobility that the lift had stopped working on March 30. After multiple calls to their service telephone numbers, I spoke to REMOVEDwho said she was in charge of scheduling service appointments and that a technician would arrive on Wednesday afternoon April 1, to service the lift. No one arrived on April 1 or provided any notice that they would not be keeping the appointment. I spoke to REMOVEDagain on April 2, she provided no explanation for the missed appointment but informed me that a technician would arrive on April 5. No one arrived on April 5 or provided any notice that they would not be keeping the appointment. On Monday April 6, someone named REMOVEDwho identified himself as a Home Pro Mobility technician texted me and said he would arrive on April 7 to repair the lift. He did not arrive on April 7 and did not contact me to indicate that he would not be making the appointment. When I texted him on the evening of April 7, he said that he would arrive on April 9 between 5 and 7 pm. He did not arrive and did not contact me to indicate that he would not be making the appointment. No one from Home Pro Mobility has contacted me to correct this situation.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID REMOVED, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However I remain very concerned that it took two weeks to respond to an emergency with serious safety ramifications. It does not inspire confidence.
Sincerely,
REMOVEDInitial Complaint

I recently purchased a stairlift (about 45 days ago) and within the first week I requested service as the seat was loose and it would stop for no reason. It would restart after turning off the unit and turning back on. No one ever came after being advised that I would be REMOVEDnow after 3 1/2 weeks my new stairlift has stopped working and again I requested service and was told one day a week later and no ever showed. I called the service schedulers number and asked if they were coming on Tuesday and she advised that it was Thursday 1-3 pm. Here it is Thursday evening (after 6 pm) and no one has called me or arrived?I am really concerned about the warranty service commitment and service since its less than 2 months in and I cant use my $4660 stairlift. I look at the reviews and am wondering now if I was tricked into believing this would be a good decision for my needs.I really would like to know if I can return the item for a prorated credit for my inconvenience and distrust I am REMOVEDof today I tried calling the service number and no answer. No return calls after voicemail has been left as well.

Subject: Formal Complaint and Demand for Refund Job #NGA-2629SL To Whom It May Concern,I am submitting this formal complaint regarding HomePro Mobility and its failure to deliver contracted services for a medically necessary stair lift.On September 25, 2025, I entered into a signed agreement with HomePro Mobility for the purchase and installation of a curved stair lift, with a total contract cost of $16,820.00. The agreement specified an installation date of November 21, 2025. The assigned job number is NGA-2629SL.Per the agreement, I provided a payment of $8,410.00 on September 30, 2025, the day of the laser measurement. This payment was made in good faith with the understanding that the stair lift would be manufactured and installed as promised. Copies of the signed agreement and my check for $8,410.00 has been uploaded.Despite full cooperation on my part and repeated attempts to communicate with the company, no stair lift has been delivered or installed, no confirmed installation date has been provided, and I have received no meaningful updates regarding my order. My inquiries have largely gone unanswered.I am a 100% disabled veteran, and this stair lift is medically necessary for safe access within my home. HomePro Mobilitys failure to honor its contract has caused significant hardship and distress. I trusted this company to act honestly and professionally, and that trust has been REMOVEDthis point, I no longer have confidence in HomePro Mobilitys ability or willingness to fulfill this contract. I am formally requesting a full refund of $8,410.00 immediately so that I may seek out an honest and reputable company to install the stair lift I urgently need.If this matter is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to pursue all available remedies, including regulatory complaints, legal action, and consumer protection enforcement.Thank you for your attention to this.Sincerely,REMOVED. Outdoor chairlift for disabled husband purchased and contract signed 4/21/2025. Total price $6150.00 with a deposit of $500.00 and balance of $5,650.00 paid 5/6/2025 on date of installation. I have had to reach out to the company several times due to malfunctioning battery which left my disabled husband stuck midway during transport. The last time I had to contact the company was 11/7/2025 and they assured me that someone would be here to fix the problem by 11/10/2025. I have had to contact them almost daily and was assured the chairlift would be repaired as of 11/21/2025 the issue still has not been resolved and I am unable to transport my wheelchair bound husband to any of his doctor appointments.

On September 20, 2024, REMOVEDof HomePro Mobility installed a 1000 Outdoor Handicare Straight Stair Lift. I paid $6,000.00 (ck# REMOVED) to have it installed on the back steps of my home at REMOVED. The price included an REMOVEDLifetime Warranty". Approximately, 2 months ago it stopped working. Since that time I have tried repeatedly (approx. 15 times) to have the company service the lift. Since that time I have talked to numerous individuals promising immediate attention but with no results. I am 80 years of age and scheduled for a knee replacement early June and need this lift.

installed oct -2024 Before installation began, we explained to the customer he needs to replace outdoor stairs due to the staircase sinking customer refused and wanted us to install anyway, customer signed off work was completed
April 22nd, 2025, stair lift had no power issue. Correction was made; we provided the customer with a cover for his outdoor stair lift however customer did not cover his stair lift causing it to rust causing damage. (it was explained he would need to cover it at the time at the time of the original install)
June 4th, 2025, customer called in stating the battery and connectors needed to be replaced- correction was made service was completed
July 22nd, 2025, the customer called back in customer complained that the railing was scrapping, however per that original install we explained that would happen since he needed to have his stairs replaced and opted out of our recommendation to replace stairs.
