The company name should be Incomm or interactive communications intl, I purchased a 300 dollar **** vanilla prepaid debit gift card from ******* in ******, AL. It was for a vacation for my child going to another state. The teenager was able to make 1 transaction- and all other transactions were declined and **** Vanilla customer service said the card was compromised so they turned it off. Vanilla Gift cards are a scam used by **** to steal money from consumers. I had numerous fraudulent charges stealing nearly $150 from my account. ******* Gift cards does nothing to adjudicate these fraudulent actions. My complaint was filed on October 19th of ************************************** 3 months. Calling customer service gets you nowhere. This is a criminal organization and has been sued multiple times in court over egregious and nefarious business practices.Initial Complaint

Purchased a gift card in the amount of $500 for our daughter to use on a move from ******* to **********. The total cost of the purchase was $505.95 with the processing fee. Our daughter was able to use the card ONE TIME en route. Once in ********** she tried to use it several more times and it was declined every time. She tried to ascertain the reason why, but was unable to reach an actual person or get any information from the website (***************). I attempted to check the balance for her on the website and received an error message OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I called and was able to reach a representative that said the card had been compromised (?) and the only solution was to issue a new card for the remaining balance. The representative, whose name I could not understand, said a card would be sent via ***** within 5 business days. That's not exactly helpful to my daughter. I also confirmed the balance with the representative as $348.14. That's a large sum of money to suddenly not have access to on a PREPAID GIFT CARD. Not much secure about ***********. If this replacement card does not show up within 5 business days per the representative I spoke with, I want my $348.14 + $5.95 processing fee refunded. I will never purchase gift cards from Secure Spend again and I will be visiting the manager of the local grocery store to inform them of the situation and encourage them to pull these cards from their store. This business is a gift card service. I employer gifted my a gift card from this business with about $435 USD. I used around $30, then the gift card was frozen. I have been calling this business for the past 3+ months to unfreeze my card, or replace my card, or issue me a refund and nothing has been done. Each time I call they tell me they have escalated the issue and to call back in ***** hours, but it was never resolved. They've promised me to issue me a check but that also never came. I have $400 USD in the card that I am not able to access, and the card is about to expire in a month. I believe this business is a scam, and it is stealing money from the user's gift cards by making it impossible for the user to access the money before it expires (and intentionally never resolving the issue). I was given $502 in gift cards by my employer. Gift cards were about to expire, I asked **** what to do. They said to contact them once expired and theyll send new ones. I recieved a **** gift card in December of 2023, on December 27th 2023 the card was put on hold. I called and sent the info requested so I can get my funds. They told me it would be 5 days but could take up to 30 days. I waited almost 2 months and called them and was told it would be escalated, please give them 48 hours. I went to Giant Eagle in Bainbridge, ** today to buy a **** prepaid gift card as a birthday gift. The cashier took it from a rack behind the counter, I paid $200 and a $7.95 fee for the card, it was activated, When I checked the balance online, it was $1.12. Someone had somehow take $198.99 off the card, apparently at ************** supply store. The money had been siphoned off the card. Giant Eagle claims I have no recourse there and **** says they will look into an get back to be in 7 to 10 days.It took well over an hour on the phone with **** *************) an they were able to resolve the problem.Initial Complaint

On January 4, 2024, my Mom purchased a **** Vanilla Gift Card for me from HEB. I was able to use it to put $25 in gas in my car on January 6, 2024. Ever since then, I have not been able to get the card to pay out the funds. I tried a second time to use the card to put gas in my car at the same gas station and the card was declined. I have tried to use the card at ******** HEB, ********************** Works, and Ulta and the card was declined. I have placed four orders with Amazon. The orders go as far as giving me a shipping date but the card never pays out so they cancel my order. When I check the card balance, it shows $125 left on the card. When I try to contact the card issuer, it's all automated and there is no option to speak to a person. All I want is to be able to use the funds on my card. I can not use the gift card, it is damaged. I submitted a claim on it 12/22/23 and called for an update on 1/4/24 and 2/5/24 with no resolution.
