Pchd an Indepence chair from this *** in July 2022. Paid $3,990.00 for chair and shipping. Two weeks ago one of the adjustment levers fell out and I contacted the seller to get me the part that holds the lever in place (used to adjust level of seat). For 2 weeks now I have been dealing with ***** ******* who gives me platitudes and no results. The CEO, **** *****, said customer service reps ** resolve the issue and get me replacement part. Customer svc calls us at 7:30 AM - I'm still asleep. They say they will call back next day (11-13-24) at 11:00 AM and send picture of part they think I need. They never sent pictures and did not call yesterday. This mobility chair is unusable since the seat is now sloped so far forward - one ** fall out of it. I either need parts to fix or refund for a broken chair.

    Hello,

In regards to the complaint from *****************************.

************************ completed his order on December 19th according to our internal records.  Due to several individuals having vacation during the Holidays, a miscommunication resulted in Mr. *********** chair being delivered on January 17th.

************************ corresponded with us several times over the next 30 days about the chair and decided to officially pursue a return on February 14th after no resolution to his issues with the chair could be found.  This return was processed by our service team and a refund was issued to ************************ for $2,775.20.

Our return policy, as stated on our website as well as verbally by our team, allows for a return within 30 days of delivery.  The customer will be refunded the cost minus a 20% restocking fee and any replacement parts that need to be replaced on the chair.

************************ had initially paid $4,094.00 for his chair.  Due to the standard 20% restocking fee, $818.50 was deducted from his refund.  Our service team had also had to replace the backrest and seat on Mr. *********** chair, resulting in an additional deduction of $550.00.

************************ reached out regarding this on February 16th wanting an explanation.  Management became aware of the situation on February 22nd.  After investigating the situation, due to insufficient pictures of the damaged seat and backrest to Mr. ********** chair, he was refunded an additional $550.00 in addition to the $2775.20 refunded earlier.

This means that the only deduction from Mr. *********** refund was the standard 20% restocking fee applied to all purchases.  Enable Me take additional steps to ensure more thorough communication with customers moving forward.  Enable Me will also continue to improve interdepartmental communication to ensure all policies and procedures and adhered to and to ensure a quality customer experience.

    Warm Regards,

    Complaint: 21342983

I am rejecting this response because:

February 16, I wrote them asking why they refunded me for $1350 less.

They even did not answer me, I just discovered that they sent me additional refund of $550 February 19

Enable me wrote "after investigating the situation, due to insufficient pictures of the damages seat and backrest."

Because there was not DAMAGE! It was made up to charge me for something!

I told them that the chair has not been used AT ALL because as I mentioned to Enable me company from the beginning that the seat is too short to be used comfortably so "the damage" was made up to charge me additional $550 but when I wrote I am contacting BBB they were scared and returned me this additional money back- very slimy way to handle the business!

Enable me charge 20% fee for restocking!

They charge me for the chair first and after that they sent me their return police with 20% off for return. I would not buy the chair if was informed that "restocking fee" are so high, over $820 in my case. It was the trick for Enable me to get me involved into their business...

Reconsider please your "restocking fee" and give some additional money back to low-income disabled man!

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    *****************************
