My PCP contacted Blackstone Medical Services for my sleep study. On June 14, 2024 I talked with Blackstone and was told I needed to pay $249 before they would send out the equipment and perform the study. I had hesitations about paying for this before I got equipment. I went ahead and paid the $249 with my HSA. After many weeks and not receiving the equipment, I followed up with Blackstone in the Fall. They gave me the run around...I was not getting a good feeling about this company so I asked them to refund my $249. After not recieving my refund, on Jan 13, 2025 I called and talked with Blackstone. The people that I talked to I could hardly undestand them due to their accent. When KA said it would take 6-8 weeks before my refund was completed, I asked to speak with a manager. It's obvious this unsavory business practice of not refunding a customer is something they have much experience with. I could not talk with a manager. I asked why the refund would take so long. I said it only took a few minutes for you to get my money when I paid for your service / equipment that I never received and all you have to do is put the money back on my HSA. Fast forward to July 14, 2025. Still no refund. I called Blackstone and after 16 minutes waiting, they said leave a message. I sent a follow up email to Blackstone and again asked for my refund and to call me. I have also asked them for a detailed statement / bill. I've not heard back from Blackstone. After looking at reviews from MANY others about Blackstone Medical Services, I think they have no intent on giving my money back. So, my intent is to warn others of this company and their unsavory business practices. I also plan to follow up with the Florida Medical Board and *********************** and file a complaint. I had a sleep test done a couple years ago I had insurance and my doctor sent me up with Blackstone medical services to send me a sleep test by mail and that doctor never ordered anything my insurance wouldn't pay for I was living at a motel at that time. it just so happens that somebody I know is now living at that motel and found the bill with my name on it for Blackstone medical services the bill was around $175 I called them to set up a monthly payments for $25 a month on June 3rd I made my first $25 payment and they gave me a receipt. When I called on July 3rd to make another payment the person tried to tell me that I still owed $175 I said no I only $150 I made a $25 payment and she corrected that and so I made another $25 payment which should make my balance $125. Ever since the day I made that payment I have been begging for a receipt since July 3rd they will not provide me with a receipt for July's payment they instead sent me an itemized bill that reflected I still owed $150 they will not provide me with anything proving that I paid $25 two Blackstone medical services which I need for deductions in my rent. Every time I call I get hung up on before I can even give them my name as soon as I say I've been begging for a receipt they hang up other times I call and they transfer me to the next person and the next person promising that they just have to get a hold of their supervisor and that it would be sent to me that day and it hasn't happened. Yesterday I was told the supervisor would call me within the hour and I never got a call whatsoever. One lady that answered the phone even said there was nobody above her and there is no supervisor. I have made phone calls left messages replied to the emails that I was sent and sent a formal demand letter days ago and have gotten nothing. I am very concerned if this is even a legitimate business or if I even owe this money because this is not honest business practices.Initial Complaint

I was being tested for sleep apnea and so my doctor had this company contact me so they could send me their product. It is a ring to wear that will collect the data rather than going into a clinic for an overnight stay. It required for me to download the app. I didn't know how to do this so I asked my daughter to help me. She attempted to download the app multiple times but kept getting an error message that stated the app was not available in my area. The next day my daughter called the company and was left on hold twice for over 30 mins and had to hang up due to being at work. I called them and was told they would call my daughter. She waited for their call and they never did. I called them again and they said they would call her. They finally did call but I was not with her so the app could not be downloaded on my phone. I mailed back the equipment due to it not working for me and they said because I took over 20 days to send it back they were not going to refund my $160. The system didn't work, they didn't have to analyze any data and they have everything back. I do not recall seeing anything that stated a 20 day deadline and should be entitled to my money back. When I told them I was going to report them to the BBB, they said go ahead, very rude and dismissive.Initial Complaint

I am getting harassing text messages multiple times daily. These texts make claims that they can not make. That threatened to cut off my health insurance for example. I tried to call 12 different times! Each time I got someone who doesnt speak English effectively! Yes I became frustrated but each time I called I was hung up on and laughed at. I had a sleep apnea study done by Blackstone Medical Services on 3/13/2024. They billed my insurance, Excellus, and were paid in full. They have been trying to get me to pay them the exact amount that my insurance has already paid them for over a year. I have sent them the supporting documents from Excellus proving they were paid. They will stop contacting me for a couple of months then start up again. They call me on my home, cell, text me and email me demanding payment. This is to the point of harassment. They were paid in full. They are threatening to send me to collections and negatively affect my credit score.Initial Complaint

Maybe a month ago a woman called me and asked if I would like for her to mail me my sleep study test. I had refused this offer a few times before because I didnt have the $250 co-pay. She told me if I bought it that day, she could sell me the unit for $100. It was my understanding there would be no future payments. On 6/11 or around there, Danerly ****** phone number 656233-9350 called me and informed me I have $149 balance Would I like for him to take it out of my credit card that I had on file. I told him the deal that the woman had made with me. I said absolutely not, I wasnt paying one morepenny for the unit because that wasnt a deal. Within a couple days of this I received an email from him that stated that the $149 and it said if I gavehim permission, he would take it out of the card that was on file. One day last week I got a call from ********. She said I owe$49 which means $100 was removed from my credit card account without my permission. I told her what was going on and she consulted with ****. She got back on the line and said she would start an investigation. On 6/25 I called Danerly at 1 PM. He had talked to ******** and told her told me she tried to start investigation but it wasnt possible. He didnt know why. He said he was transferring me to someone who would know. My doctor ordered an at home sleep study. I was told the charge would be $199.00 and I paid the full cost of $199.00. After my doctor received the sleep study report, Blackstone advised me there would be an extra cost $130.00 more. They never informed me of an extra charge of $130. If they would have told me the total amount would be $329.00, I would have never agreed to do the test. I am being SCAMED. After I spoke to the manager, ******** ******, at Blackstone, and told him I was not told about this extra change of $130 and then he decided to lower the amount from $130.00 to $50.00. I was only informed of $199.00 and that is all I'm going to pay. This company is a ****.Initial Complaint

I was charged $250.00 out of pocket I included screenshot of sleep diaries both days totalling approximately 16 hours along with s screenshot that two day sleep study was completed to find out they did not even get 3 hours which at least an hour I had trouble falling asleep which never happens I don't have that money to just throw out the window then they completely ignored my nice emails about this concern thanks for your timeInitial Complaint

Its simple- I paid my bill Jan 18 2024 - Its right there on my credit card statement. Yet to this day over a year later, I keep getting really fishy or threatening texts that dont always say who its from (and from different numbers) for this exact same amount that I paid and closed over a year ago. Ive trying to call and deal with this company multiple times but cannot get through to a person in any department but sales. I was on hold for the other departments for over an hour then disconnected. When I use the phone prompt to set up a new appointment I get somebody immediately yet there are unable to do anything but new appointment/sales So they obviously have people there to quickly answer the call for any sales related matters but not to deal with these harassing issues. It seems clear to me when a company resorts to suspicious texts from different number that they are not legit and they know this is not legal. Whether or not they provide a service some of the time they definitely take your information and give it to suspicious places, and I have proof of this. I dont know if they think people will just not notice and just keep paying over and over again or what their plan is. It feels like a scam company and I would not trust my help or personal information with them.
