      I made a nonrefundable reservation on 04/11/2023. I called the next day to cancel and told not possible.
      I called May 9 to attempt to transfer booking to another city for the same dates.
      Also told, not possible according to the cancellation policy.
      Will file a dispute with ******** *******.

      Deceitful company! They lie about hidden fees until you get the bill and rude agents! Skip them and just make reservations directly with the hotel!

      I thought I was booking a hotel room on the hotel's website. I didn't realize I was on a 3rd party site until the transaction was completed. Then I went on the hotel website and found out the room I had just booked was $58 cheaper. I read the cancellation policy from reservations.com and it appeared that I could get a refund for everything but their $19.99 service fee. I immediately requested a refund and was told by their customer service that I wasn't entitled to receive any money back. Next time I book a hotel room it will be on the phone with the actual hotel.
      This company must make a lot of money off deceiving people. Sad.

      If I could provide a negative star review I would. This company leads to to believe you're booking direct with the hotel when you're not. They have language in their cancellation policy, which was NOT provided until I made the reservation, leading you to believe you can be refunded up to the day you check in which is NOT the case. When my room was cancelled the day after I made the reservation, their cancellation policy withheld more than the actual cost of the room if I had booked direct with the hotel. The fact that they charged me almost $500 for a hotel room I cancelled a week before the trip was taken was criminal and unethical. When you're making a hotel reservation BE SURE YOU'RE BOOKING DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL, NOT WITH RESERVATIONS.COM. This company is a COMPLETE SCAM, buyer beware!

      Reservations.com is a horrible company. They took my Moms money in February, Kia and grandkids visiting fro the UK showed up to to the Hotel, booked and paid for, for 5 days, there was no reservation. They were stranded. My son got them another hotel. Have called customer service, 4 times and they are so rude. They have sent my Mom 10 emails saying that they are looking into the issue- it is now end of April with no resolution. Thankfully, Bank of America have filed documents and refunded my mom. They should be ashamed. Do better!

      Looks like the same issue everyone else is having with this site. Thought I was booking with the hotel and after I booked the room the price was 50.00 dollars higher. Called to cancel and was told it was non refundable. Just another scam company on the internet. Beware of this website.

      In trying to reserve a single night. Upon confirmation, I noticed the total was way higher than expected. I IMMEDIATELY called customer service. They indicated I reserved 2 nights vs. 1. This was not accurate.
      I explained to the customer service rep this was a system error and that I would gladly pay for the single night I had reserved in the first place. The rep indicated this was a non-refundable reservation and would have to pay for it. I respectfully pushed back indicated I shouldn't have to pay for something I didn't not order. After speaking to a supervisor, they indicated they would 'put me in' for a refund and I would find out their decision in the next 7 - 10 days. That very same day, I received an email indicating they contacted the hotel I was trying reserve and the hotel indicated they would not be refunding the money. I don't believe that would be the case if the contact as actually made.
      This is a shady service and has less-than-helpful customer service. Steer clear! You end up paying their $19.99 fee (if not more) which completely cancels out any 'proposed' discount you get from using their site vs. just going directly to the hotel's site. Do that instead of using these scammers.

      Reservation.com has verbiage in their confirmation emails that lead you to believe you can be refunded up to the day you check in.
      I believe this is unfair to consumers and they should be more clear.

      I did a ****** search and up came the picture of the hotel I needed to stay to at. just like it is on their usual website. unknowing I booked on Reservations.com and not the real website... After booking and before they give you a total of your costs , up comes a total and that you are booked and it is not refundable. I called within 5 min of my order and could not cancel. They even have a countdown timer on the checkout page to get you to order quickly and not read. This should not be allowed to operate as a travel website. This is just scamming people out of money.

      This is a crooked company. If you are booking with a reputable service like Hotels.com or Expedia.com among others, the provide you cancellation in accordance with the hotel you are booking. If you cancel within those parameters you are charged, nothing, full refund as if this is the policy of the hotel.
      I booked a hotel in solvang through Reservations.com because it was the first on that come up with google when I search a specific hotel. After booking I noticed the cost of the reservation was almost 1/3 higher than the hotel room charges. I check rate through Hotels.com and was amazed how much cheaper the same room quoted was. I immediately canceled the Reservations.com reservation and rebooked the exact same room through Hotels.com. When I got my credit card statement, it contained a $30.45 charge from Reservations.com. Inquiring about what this was, it was a "service fee" that Rerservations.com charges for their services. I was appalled as they stated it is clearly written in their terms of service. Of Course I didn't read that document...who does. Well I probably can fight this through my credit card company, but will likely lose as I didn't read the terms of service. If they are going to run a company like this they have the responsibility to state there is a service fee.
      These people are crooks and there is no reason to do business through them as there are numerous legit booking companies out there. BEWARE!!!!!
