    I am a paraplegic in a wheelchair. Scheduled a stay for my family and myself at a ***************************** in *********, **. The individual I worked with in reservations guaranteed she had a cottage that was fully wheelchair accessible including a roll in shower, a full wheel chair accessible bathroom and ground floor bedroom. The reservation host informed me they would place in their notes reserving this specific accessible cottage for myself and my family. I followed up with this reservation host the following day to make sure this cottage was accessible and was promised it was. I have been lied to by other companies about accessible properties so wanted assurances this reservation was real.When we arrived we discovered the cottage was not accessible. The bathroom was not accessible and that included the shower. My family and I were so disappointed especially since we had come to celebrate my wifes mothers 80th birthday with all my wifes siblings and their families. Many traveled from out of state over multiple days to get there. Do not know how they can lie like this and discriminate against handicapped individuals. We ended up finding hotel rooms that cost much more than the cottage was. I have requested reimbursement for this additional cost to my stay and have not heard from Rentyl Resorts. Shameful.

We have informed you upon check-in that the shower you requested was unavailable during your stay. While we do our best to accommodate guest requests, we cannot always guarantee them. Regardless, while we regret your decision to prematurely depart our resort, we have generously compensated for the inconveniences you have addressed. This has been stated on your folio for reference.
