I purchased a 2023 Jeep Gladiator that was equipped with manual locks. I called around and found out Audio Designs Custom Graphics (ADCG) could install the electric running boards as I had knee replacement surgery on January 9th. ADCG estimated it would cost $1500 for the power locks and installation. A deposit of $752.50 would cover the cost of the power locks. I paid, waited for them to contact me once they received the part, and then scheduled the installation.

While waiting to hear from them, I visited **** *****, who said they could order and install the locks for $1100. That's a $400 difference in price. So, I contact ADCG to cancel the installation. They said since this was a particular order from a small business, they could offer store credit. I decided to get the supplier, ** ******** ********** ***********. They will give me the Return Authorization number to return the locks and make sure to put that on the box. The part is $364.85; they'll provide the refund once received. I called ADCG with the information provided by Al Automotive, and they said to find it, but you'll have to pay a restocking fee, which ** ********** did not require. ADCG, once the refund was received from them, they would refund me less the so-called restocking fee. Therefore, I waited, waited, and after a month, I decided to check back with them, who stated they had yet to receive the refund.
Remember that the locks were only $364.85, and I paid them $752.50, which is $392.65. They could have at least credited that back to me, as there was no labor. I asked **** ****** ***** to inquire about the refund and ADCG told them all sales are final. What's final, I didn't received the part and no labor was performed. So I'm expected to lose $752.50 for nothing. I believe that is bad business practices and the reason I'll filing the complaint.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: there is no information listed on the invoice stating this policy and the salesperson I spoke with offer me a refund less a restocking fee. However, when I spoke with the supplier of the locks, then did not require a restocking fee.  Also, since I never received the locking mechanism, and you did not perform the associated labor, how can you justify a purchase being finalized without labor performed.  Unfair business practices.

      Regards,

      **** *******

Dishonest company taking advantage of people. I placed an order on 31 January through their website where I was told the request timed out. Placed it again using an alternate payment and it went through. Once I saw they both (order ***** and *****) went through, I called AD&CG to tell them what happened and they told me they could cancel it. Four days later it posted to my bank anyway.

I emailed them and got no answer, so I called my bank. Three months later I am still trying to get my $323.10 back for a second iPad dash kit I never received and AD&CG is not answering any of my correspondence. Unethical company.

We originally canceled the order though our online portal which apparently didn’t refund the client.
As soon as we realized it wasn’t refunded, we refunded the client.
We apologize for the error and we are glad we were able to refund your money for the double order.
