  Have dealt with this company for several years. They installed solar panels on two of my homes and recently added solar battery backup to one of my homes. Highly professional, quick, efficient, and pleasant to work with. All employees polite and courteous, and the owner very honest and trustworthy.Wish all businesses and contractors were this pleasant and easy to work with.

  May Solar Electric installed solar roof panels and battery backup in our home in June 2024. The installation went very smoothly and professionally. Remarkably, the three men completed the job in one day. Mr. ********************** gave very thorough instructions which I even video taped, for future information as we used the system. I cant thank them enough for walking us through the process of choosing the proper products for our specific needs. The panels have worked flawlessly the first seven months of use. We are delighted that our entire electric bill is covered and during the winter months we are producing more than we use and are banking it with the electric company for when air conditioning season is upon us in ********The battery system has also worked perfectly and our lights have stayed on through the two hurricanes we suffered in 2024. Our neighbors unfortunately lost electricity and those that had gas generators also had no electricity since the gas stations had no gas. We recommend May Solar Electric with no reservations and are delighted with their skilled workmanship and the output of the products we purchased.

  This company makes water then walks on it!!!! May Electric installed our solar panels in 2014. We met the owner at a home owners show that year. My husband, a tech-lover, told me that the owner (at the show himself) was more knowledgable and less full of bull (actually none) than any of the "solar guys" he'd talked to. My husband died a year and a half ago and I've been trying to get the house equipment under control... today it was the solar panels. First, lucky. This was same day service. **** came out to help figure out why my emphase wasn't working. He called the trouble shooters, reconfigured much of the system and explained what I need to do next. He even said I could call back. He said the panels needed to be cleaned to work efficiently and sent me a referral to get it done. I'm thinking about batteries next. For me, it's May all the way! Where can you get that kind of high-touch service after 10 years?

  Greetings BBB community! The other night while I was cooking dinner the power in our house went out and quickly back on. There was no storm. Turned out to be a power outage and all of our neighbors were in the dark. However, Thanks To *** Solar, we still had the a/c working, refrigerator runninv, microwave operational so I finished cooking dinner, tv still worked and I found out that our backup batteries had licked in when the power company dropped out and therefore our night was uninterrupted! Thanks to *** Solar for keeping Our Household Running for several hours while our neighborhood was dark! ???????? *** Solar is the Way To Go! Thanks Mr *** and His Fantastic Staff????

  "Thank you May Electric Solar for making us less dependent on *********** for our power needs. Your company did a great job from start to finish, starting with **** who was very informative and helpful in the planning. Mr. *** even came out to measure and tweak the layout for optimal performance. Installer **** and his helpers did a great job + cleaned up after their work. ***** the electrician did a great job also and explained everything to me and helped with the Enphase Enlighten App, which I have been using since PTO."

  I have been in construction for 40+years and I can be a difficult customer. I interviewed numerous companies over several months. A friend had used May Electric Solar and recommended them so I added them to the list. Afterwards, I ended up going with May Electric Solar. They were excellent at communicating. They are an electrical company that installs the system(s). Since the most complicated part of the solar system is the electrical portion, I liked working with an electrical company versus a company that is strictly solar and outsources the electrical part. If you are doing just panels (no batteries) then this is not as important. May Electric Solar did everything they said they would do with no surprises. The challenging portion of getting the electrical inspection signed off and the utility company to accept and energize the system went flawlessly (first time). My overall experience was excellent. My questions and request to see cut sheets, warranties, contract language, payment requirements, etc was addressed quickly and professionally. The owner (Billy) came to my house and spent over an hour reviewing my electrical panel and sitting down and answering my question. I was very impressed. The system has now been working for about 3 months with no issues. We just went through 2 hurricanes (Helene and Milton) that had record breaking amounts of rain and incredibly high winds. With Milton we lost power for 5 days. No leaks from the 52 roof panels. No panels blew off. The system worked perfectly and we had the necessary power 24/7. It was so nice not worrying about generators or finding gas. We were also surprised when both the sales person (Neil) and the owner (Billy) text us the day after the storm and ask how the system was doing. This company was 5-star from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family.

  Great communication with the company. Came out and installed the system in one day, cleaned up all their trash. Had to come out the following day to finish wiring up a relay and complete the inspection with the county. System was installed in November and has been working great. Highly recommend

  Installation was completed in less than a day. Crew was on time and explained the entire process from installation to becoming operational. The members of the crew where friendly and happy to do their job. At the end of the install, William was there to answer any questions that I may have had. Overall was a good experience. Also the office keeps me up to date all the time.
