Zumba Fitness only allows you to cancel your membership by in person phone call, but does not answer that line. Ever, it seems. Held for 4 hours total I have been a member of Zumba's Instructor Network on a recurring automatic payment plan where they charge my debit card. For several months I have tried to cancel my membership and stop the debits from my card as I am no longer an instructor, something that they only allow you to do by speaking to someone by phone. Problem is, no one ever picked up after a combined four hours of being on hold, so each month my card is charged again. I was on hold today on three separate phones for another combined 90 minutes, and still no one picked up or called me back when I left a voicemail. Short of canceling my credit card so that the charges finally stop, I don't know what else to do. Others on their Facebook page complain of the same problem, and my experience is not unique.

Desired Outcome

I would just like to not be billed for next month because I have tried repeatedly to cancel according to their terms, and they will not allow it to be possible. If I could just cancel by email, written notice, or voicemail I would have done it in September, when it was clear that I was no longer going to be able to teach Zumba. But they've now gotten another 90 dollars from me that is wasted. I really don't want to add another $30 next month, and today is the last day I can stop it according to their agreement.

Hello, We have reviewed this case and as the member stated, all cancellation must be done via the phone. However, after reviewing this case we see via our notes that the member has to call us during her breaks which she says are not at the same time each day (This is also why we can not reach her when we call). Therefore, in the name of good customer service we have made the exception and have cancelled the members account. We have sent a confirmation email to the members email address. Please let us know if we can assist any further.

I completely agree with the other review. They are not upfront with anything and use confusing wording to get you into the 6 months with no way out. So so so disappointed in this company. Bunch of money hungry ********

It is never the intent of Zumba Fitness, LLC to either mislead or disappoint anyone who chooses to invest time and/or money into our programs. When an individual enrolls into our Zumba�® Instructor Network ("ZIN™"), he or she agrees to a 6-month initial term of membership ("Initial Term"). Moreover, the length of the Initial Term is clearly stated in our "Frequently Asked Questions" section under the "ZIN Membership" subsection on www.zumba.com . Said FAQ can be found here: https://www.zumba.com/en-US/faq/zin-membership#faq-term . Notwithstanding this, we are actively working with ******** to amicably resolve this matter.
