    My husband and I scheduled a walk through of our house to get a quote from this company, and the salesman asked for our WiFi password, to pull up the product information on his computer. This is not appropriate business practice and I caution use of this company.

    We regret that you did not have a good experience with our salesman. Our sales staff are provided iPads so they can build products onsite and provide an electronic quote to the customers before they leave the house.  These iPads are equipped with cellular data, however, there are some dead spots when we don't have service.  In these rare circumstances our sales staff does ask for permission to use the homeowners WiFi.  The homeowner does not have to provide the sales staff with access to the WiFi and we would simply email the quote at a later time. If the homeowner agrees to provide access to their WiFi then our practice is for the sales staff to give control of the iPad to the homeowner for the homeowner to select the network and enter the password.  


    We have followed up with this specific salesman, and he confirmed that he did ask for permission to use the WiFi and he also confirmed that he followed procedure.  Our salesman did not ask for the WiFi password, he gave control of the iPad to the husband who selected the network and entered the password.

    Window World entered into a contract with ** June 22, 2023 to supply and install 3-panel impact sliding doors with only minor trim work needed. After months of waiting, which we expected, the doors finally arrived. The installer team didnt speak English very well, but was able to explain to us how one of the doors would never slide ( it was designed to be fixed ). Our sales reps distinctly told us all three panels would articulate ( slide ). They then explained that 2 to 3 would need to be cut from our new flooring, new walls, baseboards, etc inside our finished walls, or added to the outside pool patio wall in order to install the doors. We said neither option was acceptable and wanted to cancel the contract on which we had paid a $5,314.00 deposit. After this exchange in January, Window World reps ducked my repeated calls, and placed me on endless holds before I finally reached a rep named ******. Again, after weeks of ducked calls ****** told me on 3/20/23 what the offer would be from WW to cancel the Contract. They want to keep $3,680 (70%) of our deposit or 35% of the total contract. This is unacceptable. The product was misrepresented to us and we were misled. We are willing to pay a reasonable and customary fee for canceling but not 70% of our deposit or 35% of the total contract. This complaint doesn't address the long list of problems with the windows they have installed which is also pending resolution.

    Window World of Ft Myers marketed and sold me ”Hurricane Proof Windows" with a guarantee. The windows failed a year after install, during hurricane Ian. Window World refused to honor their guarantee, and told me that a hurricane is an "act of god" so not covered under their free replacement guarantee for their marketed "hurricane-proof" windows.

    HOW does this company stay in business??? I ordered my window the first week of Nov.2022, this is for a street front window, my bedroom window. I was told 3 to 5 months for delivery,but because it was only ONE window it should be closer to the 3 month window. I gave them a check for $1000.00 for the deposit. Never heard a word, I called them in Jan.2023 for the status on my order. They finally found the order, said they sent me a 'letter' because my order form was not signed on the front.I NEVER received any 'letter' !! So they could NOT pick up the phone to tell me this??Their Rep could NOT bring their paper to me to sign??Sent a G.M.out Jan.13,2023-made me RESIGN his paper order form-took measurements for the 'work-permit' & said "We are so Sorry WE Dropped the ball "-apology "We'll get this through ASAP"Did NOT have me sign 'work-permit' paper work- Oh No! I called Jan 18 for status, asked for ******(*****) was told she was NOT In - but as soon as I confronted the girl on the phone regarding HOA **************mail, ****** picked up the phone-had NO info BUT maybe in 2-3 weeks info may come from the "manufacturer"..(?) Today, Jan.19,2023, I received the papers to SIGN For the Work-Permit !! You have Never heard of a "PENDING" or "FOLLOW-UP" File in your office?? They have NO office OR order process/procedures. I know everyone going through this ordeal of hurricane *** is in such a MESS, but this does NOT give company's permission for unprofessional, unethical, 'gouging' the customer(s). If this was a Problem YOU created - then FIX IT--Do the Right thing! What a SNAFU situation They have created !!! Buyer Beware !!
