I have had nothing but issues since this company has taken over as a property management company. They price gouged me raising my rent $ ****** per month plus pent rent of additional &***** a month knowing Im in a bad situation. I was supposed to move out of my current apartment complex when my lease was up back in March. Unfortunately, I had unexpected neck surgery in January of this year and I was unable to move. Thats when they raised my rent that much. Supposedly when they did the walk-through I let them know everything that was wrong in my unit. And now that everything is going wrong in my unit Im getting blamed for not letting them know during the walk-through when Im supposed to be in a newly remodeled apartment. Since Ive been in here, Ive had to have underneath the kitchen sink replaced. A new air conditioner. A new breaker panel. I had an issue with my water back in April that made overages on my bill stating that I use **** gallons worth of water in April and **** gallons worth of water in May which is totally not possible for one person. Yet they are not willing to compensate me on the bill. They are very nasty people that work there. I have had nothing but trouble and stress. Ive been threatened with eviction twice from these people when Ive asked about what happens if I need to go into surgery again and I cant pay my rent? And when I asked to take the compensation of the water bill off my rent? I need help I dont know what to do. These people are ridiculous. Please advise?

I am not the owner of this community and  Uptown Property Services does not make the decisions on how much rent to charge. That is the owners of the property to decide that factor. On April 19th, 2023  ****** reported a toilet issue and the shower leaking at 9:01PM. A work order was created on April 20th, 2023. The work order was completed on April 24th. Then on June 19th ****** said she received her water bill which had high water usage. We had someone out On June 20, 2023  to look for any possible leaks in the unit and none were found. Now she emails on June 28, 2023 that she received another water bill today that the water usage was normal and within what she normally pays. But she wants reimbursed for the last two bills that had higher water usage. I sent her emails to the owners of the property and they denied her request stating that this was all handled in a timely manner. However, it may have been possible that the water was leaking a lot longer than when she reported the issue. I do not know the details of that only ****** would know. However, we are not the responsible party here. The owners would be and they have the final say on reimbursements and rents. So this is completely out of Uptown Property Services control.
