    marketplace issue with Take 5 Oil Change (Location #**** in ********, **). On 08/29/2025, I brought my vehicle to their location for a routine oil change service. During the service, the crew failed to properly secure the undercarriage protective panel (also known as the skid plate or engine splash shield) after accessing the area for an oil change. As a result, the panel detached and was damaged while I was driving away from the location shortly after the service.This damage has rendered the protective panel unusable, and it now requires full replacement. I immediately notified the business upon discovering the issue, provided photos and details of the damage, and requested reimbursement for the repair costs. Despite multiple follow-up attempts via phone and emails, Take 5 has not issued a refund or payment for the replacement part and labor, which totals approximately $200 for parts and labor. The business has acknowledged the error but has delayed resolution without a clear timeline or ************* a paying customer who relied on Take 5 for professional automotive service, I expected the work to be completed without causing additional damage to my vehicle. This incident directly relates to the services they provided and has left me out-of-pocket for repairs that should have been prevented.What I Am Requesting I am seeking BBB mediation to facilitate a full refund or reimbursement from Take 5 Oil Change for the cost of replacing the damaged undercarriage protective panel, including parts and labor. I estimate this at $200, as verified through various auto parts outlets. I am open to providing additional documentation, such as service receipts, photos of the damage, and communication records with the business.This matter is not in litigation, has not been resolved by any court, arbitration, or prior settlement, and occurred within the last 12 months. I appreciate the BBB's assistance in helping resolve this fairly and promptly.

    I came in for an oil change January 6th and on Feb 17th I came back to the store because my Oil drain plug was leaking per the Assistant Manager ****** (a crew member) used the wrong drain plug for the type of car you have you need to get a new oil pan all we can do is patch it I kindly thanked him for any help he would provide and asked to speak to the general manager regarding compensation, because the service damaged my vehicle. The general manager over the phone stated unfortunately its your word against ours and we dont know if that drain plug did or did not come from us (he wasnt even in the store to confirm or deny whether thag plug was in fact from the store however the assistant managed ****** validated that it was in fact on the stores behalf.) All i want is a refund for the service they provided I could have lost my car due to their negligence. I also have to replace an oil pan out of pocket.
