  Why is Clearwater Toyota a great dealership? The answer is simple. It all has to do with their stellar salesman named Roberto E. Roberto sold us a RAV4 today, 11/4/24, and we cannot be more pleased with his assistance, honesty, listening skills, and 'close to the customer attitude'. So, if you are in the market for a Toyota, a great product by the way as most people know, stop by Clearwater Toyota and ask for Roberto E. to help you. He is knowledgeable and personable and he will do his best to put a deal together that will really make you happy. In our case, with inventory in scarce supply, he located the right car for us and gave us a sweet deal. Also, just selling the car is not the end of the story because if you ever need him afterwards, he'll be there to help you whatever the technical problem may be. On a scale of 1 to 5, we rate him a 10 without any question. He is overdue for both a raise and a bonus from Clearwater management because from the customer's standpoint, his service acumen is what will keep us going back to this dealership.   I recently received an official-looking email saying it was from an auto recall notice, claiming my 2014 Toyota Corolla was due for a recall and needed to be fixed and to call and schedule. I was skeptical because it did not come from the dealership I went to for service. SECOND, I dont own that car anymore. I decided to call that number on the email and low and behold, it was from CLEARWATER TOYOTA. We stopped servicing any car we had there because of deceptive practices we realized we were being given for servicing. The email address in the email I got was deceptive. I called the dealership I go to and they said any recall emails come directly from their dealership and have their name attached. Clearwater Toyota is not someone I want to do business with in the future.

  THE ******* ME) WAS NOT CONTACTED BY CLEARWATER TOYOTA. I RECD NO CALL, NO EMAIL NO LETTER.WHICH SPEAKS TO THE SNEAKY WAY THEY OPERATE. NO PERSON CALLED ME. THE **** THAT THE FAKE LETTER FOR WARRANTY EXPIRATION WAS FOR A VEHICLE THAT I NO LONGER HAD FOR OVER 5 YEARS SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING

  Just going to copy paste my review from ****** here.- First of all *********** and any other add ons they try to sell you isn't required and is a scam to make extra money. I was told it was required and came with all cars purchased, I have found out this is an illegal tactic to upsell customers.- Second I was given a list of things that were done to the vehicle so I knew what I had coming up since BMWs tend to have extensive repairs anyway. $6000 later I found out the repairs they told me were in fact not done and the cars maintenance had been somewhat neglected to this point.- Third I bought this car remotely and was not informed that the paint on the vehicle was in fact not the original paint. Needless to say it was a shoddy job that has started to chip and peel in multiple places. Unsure if it was sold to them this way or a coverup job to sell the car fast.- lastly it was also sold with illegal tint on the front windows and windshield.So basically im out the *********** cost, $6000 in repairs, my own time doing tint removal as well as installing the correct %, and possibly looking at doing a new paint job or just wrapping the car at some point.

  Customer Satisfaction is not the practice at this dealership. Buyer beware Customer service is great until you sign the contract. I had expressed my concerns with the over inflated charges and payment 16 hours after taking a closer look at the contract (Ink has not dried yet) I called to cancel and was told that there are no returns. Wow Really?? I have known other Toyota dealers to have a (72 hour) 3 day return or exchange policy. I was told by a sarcastic salesman that there is no such thing as he offered to buy back the vehicle at market value which would leave me owing the remainder of the loan. This situation has caused undo stress. So I encourage all stay away from Clearwater Toyota unless you like being deceived.

  Sold me a used car with cracked valve cover and power steering hoses that leaked costing me $2,500.00 to repair. Beware if you buy from them ! I will never go there again and never recommend them to anyone. I don't blame the sales person, just the dealership.
