    I’ve been taking my car to Old Greenwich Oil Change since the late 90s, my experience on March 29,2025, was deeply disappointing. I believe the mechanics tried to take advantage of me because I am a woman. A mechanic spoke to me in an alarmist tone, saying, “Miss, listen carefully. Your car has a major oil leak. The head gasket is blown. Your engine is broken. Take it to your mechanic right away.” This left me extremely stressed, but I trusted them due to my long history with the shop. For years, I never received a follow-up text after an oil change-until today, March 31, 2025. The message misspelled my name and asked if had any concerns, the text came from 203.580.6646. When I replied, Lucas from the shop asked for my license plate number and details about the issue, even though they should already have my vehicle’s information. After I sent a photo of my invoice, he simply asked me to “keep him posted on my car’s status.” Why would they need updates if they weren’t handling repairs? My check engine light never came on, and my car showed no signs of trouble – no overheating, no smoking, nothing. I took it to my regular mechanic the next business day (3/31/2025), expecting the worst. After a full inspection, they found no leaks at all. My engine is fine and did not need any repairs. Someone should look into Old Greenwich Oil change – something isn’t right about their business. I will not be using them for an oil change again in the future.
