    Last August 29, 2024, my wife and I signed a promissory note with Cobra Heating and Cooling in the amount of $2,745.52 to be paid in six monthly payments of $457.87 starting on Sept. 29th of that year. The money was to complete payment for finishing an air conditioning system for our daughter and son-in-law at ** ********* ***** ** ***********. Only after I made the last payment in March did I realize that the contract was incorrect and I had made a seventh payment and was owed $457.87 by Cobra. Tim, the owner, claimed several payments were late, even though I had mailed them from Stratford to his Bridgeport address days ahead of the monthly deadline. While there may be one or two late payments that brought high interest, Tim gave me no proof of this, even though I had supplied him with copies of checks and bank statements that said otherwise. After I emailed him that I had contacted the BBB by phone two months, he quickly called me to say that the check was on its way, but addressed to my son-in-law. That was more than two months ago. Earlier, on August 5, he had sent me an email saying that "partial payment" would be forthcoming within eight weeks. It has now been more than eleven weeks and I haven't received a cent. From the erroneous promissory note to his unsubstantiated claims of late payments to his stonewalling of payment, Tim and Cobra Heating and Cooling have been unprofessional and underhanded. I would like your help in settling his claim.
