  This company uses scam tactics to lure customers into buying their products and after part of the project is completed they refuse to finish, saying that they did not agree with what I expected that was in the contract. They told me that if I wanted them to trim the egress windows installed I would have to pay them another $3300.00. My basement was a total mess when they left and they just covered the damage to the foundation walls. Im extremely disappointed in the work they did and feel they scammed me . $3900.00 per window and 3 windows installed with no trim and large gauges in the concrete foundation.No screens for said windows, and a total mess to clean up after they left. ********************* is the contractor

  This is in response to ******************** compliant 20832132-25651. I am not sure why ******************** has a complaint. He was home all day, every day we were at his home. He called for an estimate for egress windows. I met him at his home and told him that the standard cost for an egress window is $4,200.00, which includes 1-30"x 48" casement window, 1 window well 42x 36x 60", one window well cover and 1 ladder with 3-4" of rock in the bottom and we will take away the extra dirt along with the concrete we cut out. i told him if he did 2 windows, I would discount the two $300.00 each. He called back and said that I was in line with the other bids. Upon starting the project we met and signed contracts. He gave me the deposit. Both of us went outside to move a table and some other odds and ends away from the window on the side of the house. So, we started digging the holes. As it turned out he had me help him move the table and odds and ends away from the wrong window. I told ******************** what had happened and I said don't worry about it. I will have the guys just fill it in. ******************** said don't worry about just  put in another window that way I can add another bedroom to my basement. So, I told him I will give him a discount on the third one to $3,300.00. I wrote up the change order and he signed it. As we continued with the project, he bought the guys lunch a couple of times and  complimented me on what hard workers I have. On the Friday we were finishing up, ******************** came out and was all smiles and helped with a few little things. He said how excited he was about the job we had done. He gave me the final check. About 2 hours after we finished and left, he called me and said he had stopped payment on the check. I told him I would be over to his house to go over what he was upset about. He said he thought it would be finished on the inside. I pointed out what he had signed and what we did. Wrapping the 2x4's in pine is on the contract. He said his basement was finished. All that is done to the basement is the walls are painted and indoor/outdoor carpeting on the floor. I said the standard pricing was $1,100.00.for each window. I said i would cut it in half if that would make him happy. He agreed to paying $500.00 ************** and cleaning the dust up. So, we came back and trimmed out the windows on the inside and dusted everything in the basement. He had two cashier checks made out for $2,500.00 each. One he gave me to start the work and gave me the other one when we walked around, and he was happy. Then he gave me another check for $1,000.00 because we did such a great job made out to me personally, So I am not sure why he is upset. Once again he was very happy when we left.
