FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 22, 2019 - - FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT-- IKEA/TRAEMAND FAIL TO HONOR WARRANTIES Of FAIRFIELD, CT. CONSUMER ****, of 450 Sargent Drive, New Haven, CT., Managed by Mr. Ashley ******** and TRAEMAND Installation Services, (Hereinafter, "Traemand") Managed by Vice President, Matt ********** of 750 W Hampden Ave Suite 295, Englewood, CO 80110 (Ref. Connecticut HIC # *******), and **** Customer Service Manager, Mr. Albert ****** collectively receive an F- Grade for their failure to honor our LABOR and Materials WARRANTIES. We paid TRAEMAND a deposit of $993.50 on 2/21/2016. TRAEMAND provided a Contractual agreement of a Start Date of: 3/16/2016 and an END DATE of: 3/17/2016. TRAEMAND FAILED TO COMPLY WITH THEIR OWN START AND COMPLETION DATES. As such, TRAEMAND breached their contractual agreement with Consumer M. OXXXX of Fairfield, CT. Upon learning of the defective installation and after his so called, "Inspector" appeared at our home to investigate our complaint and what will be needed to correct the defects in labor, TRAEMAND's Vice President, Matt ********** informs consumer, M. OXXXXX that our 5-Year Labor Warranty is "null and void," citing the following excuses: (1). Unpaid balance of $993.50. (2). In 2018, another **** Authorized Installer, ***** ************* removing and installing a smaller cabinet for a larger cabinet. Although, Pat's Installations was referred to us by a Manager at ****, who identified Pat's Installations as an "Authorized **** Kitchen Installer. And therefore, Matt McLoughlin has advised us that our 5-Year Labor Warranty is NULL AND VOID. **** Manager's Ashley Beecroft and Albert Macias, state that they can not override Matt McLoughlin's decision not to honor our 5-Year Labor Warranty, which does not expire until March of 2021. IKEA, New Haven, CT., and TRAEMAND and Mr. Christopher Arnold, and Mike Polley of ProHome Remodeling, LLC., FAILED to procure the installation of the requisite TWO 3" FILLER PANELS on the left and right sides of the M. XXXXX Kitchen. Failed to complete the installation properly, timely and in a workman like manner. As a result, the balance of $993.50 was withheld, to cover other damages caused by this unscrupulous kitchen installer, not to mention their breach of contract. TRAEMAND at all times, was referred to us by IKEA, New Haven, CT., as the "IKEA Authorized Kitchen Installer." In order to repair the defective and nonfunctional kitchen, the entire IKEA Kitchen System must be removed, replaced and moved down to accommodate the omitted TWO 3" FILLER PANELS, which Consumer, M. OXXXX seeks to to exercise her labor and materials warranties on, through TRAEMAND and IKEA at this time. Corrective action will also include moving tile, electrical and plumbing over approximately 3" to accommodate the negligence and correction, all of which Consumer, M. OXXXXX, claims is the responsibility of IKEA and TRAEMAND and or, Mike Polley of ProHome Remodeling, LLC and/or Mr. Christoper Arnold. Mike Polley (Principal) of ProHome Remodeling, LLC 81 South Main Street, Newtown, CT. 06470, was the contractor sent out by TRAEMAND, in which Christopher Arnold, was sub contracted under. We sense that IKEA, New Haven's 5-Year Labor Warranty and 25-Year Warranties Materials Warranty, are a SHAM, structured to evade warranty coverage that they purport to offer at point of sale on their IKEA Kitchen Systems and Installation, Services. INKA Group aka IKEA is a 49% Shareholder in TRAEMAND. (Source: Reuters Dec. 19, 2018). IKEA's in store kitchen design service failed to include two FILLER PANELS. At point of sale on our IKEA Kitchen System, IKEA continuously and highly recommended TRAEMAND, as the "IKEA Authorized Kitchen Installer." Relying on the IKEA referral, and their standing as the "IKEA Authorized Kitchen Installer," we in good faith, procured the installation services of TRAEMAND for our IKEA kitchen installation, with a security deposit of $950.00. TRAEMAND Installation Services, contractually agreed to complete the installation of our IKEA Kitchen System in two-Business days. Incredulously, TRAEMAND breached their contractual agreement almost immediately, when they failed to complete the installation job in two-days, and instead the installation was incomplete and continues to be incomplete some two-plus years after initial contact. IKEA, together with TRAEMAND botched the installation of our kitchen system, and failed to perform the installation in an acceptable Workmanlike Manner, in accordance with both IKEA Standards and Desired and Acceptable Standard of Quality of Work and Materials on our **** Kitchen System installation project. At point of installation, TRAEMAND Installation Services, Installer, Mr. Christopher Arnold caused the following to occur to these Fairfield, CT., Consumers detriment: (1). Failed to install TWO 3" FILLER PANELS, required to go between the side panel and the respective wall, As a result of their negligence, we have a defective and non functional **** Kitchen System, which prevents us from opening our Freezer Door and Pantry Door, and obstructs the drawers of the pantry cabinetry from opening. (2). Caused property damage, to our new hardwood floors. (3) Caused property Damage to the face (Door) of our brand new Samsung Chef Collection Refrigerator. (4). Failed to use the correct screw lengths as called for by IKEA to fasted the upper cabinetry to walls. (5). Installed the upper cabinetry too low. (6). Installed the lower cabinetry too high. (7). The result of #'s 5 & 6, prevented the placement of small appliances under the kitchen counter top. As a result of TRAEMAND'S negligence, our four year old child has injured his fingers, not to mention we have been left with a non functional IKEA kitchen system. In or about 2016, Mr. Mike ****** of ProHome Remodeling, LLC, sent Mr. Scott M. ******* of Naugatuck, CT. of S. Fischer Building & Remodeling, LLC of 48 Rough Wing Road Naugatuck, CT 06770, HIC # ******* and another person named "Kevin," to correct the the defectively installed cabinetry of Christopher Arnold. Kevin (Last name unknown), is the person whom appeared pursuant to our complaint with TRAEMAND in May 2019, and was subsequently dispatched to our home on June 07, 2019 at 2PM to inspect our complaint of two missing FILLER Panels. Here, "Kevin" plays the role of INSPECTOR for TRAEMAND. Presenting himself as "The TRAEMAND INSPECTOR" Kevin, concurred that two filler panels should have been installed. He added; "Had I done the installation, I would have installed the two 3" FILLER PANELS between the side panels and the respective walls." The IKEA catalogs and the **** store showrooms, show the IKEA Kitchen Systems with FILLER PANELS. The materials were on hand at point of installation to install the subject two FILLER PANELS, but like other negligent acts, TRAEMAND failed to installed the two, crucial FILLER PANELS. In approximately May, 2019 we returned to ****, New Haven to redeem our 5-Year Labor Warranty, we returned to ****, New Haven, CT., with a representative of the Kitchen Department, who was introduced to us as a Manager. She lamented, that TRAEMAND has a very problematic history with **** New Haven Customers and that IKEA is starting to utilize another Authorized Contractor, named Pat's Installations. The Manager, took our information and stated she would have someone contact us. NO ONE CONTACTED US. After not receiving a call or email, we returned to **** Kitchen Dept., in New Haven. THe only way that we could communicate with a manager was by telephone. He, too took our information and advised that someone would contact us. NO ONE CONTACTED US. On our own accord, we contacted Vice President, Matt ********** of Traemand, whom we registered our complaint with and he was to call us back. MATT ********** FAILED TO CALL US BACK. We called Matt ********** back interspersed with emails, and an appointment by a TRAEMAND representative/Inspector Kevin (was scheduled, to appear at our home to evaluate the two missing 3" FILLER PANELS. Presenting himself as "The TRAEMAND INSPECTOR," on June 07, 2019 at 2PM, Kevin, appeared at our home and AGREED that two filler panels should have been installed. He added; "Had I done the installation, I would have installed the two 3" FILLER PANELS between the side panels and the respective walls." The IKEA catalogs and the IKEA store showrooms, show the IKEA Kitchen Systems with FILLER PANELS. The materials were on hand at point of installation to install the subject two FILLER PANELS, but like other negligent acts, TRAEMAND failed to installed the two, crucial FILLER PANELS. Buyers beware. I intend on filing a cause of action in the Superior Court, Bridgeport, CT for costs and damages. M. OXXXXX Consumer Complaint

1. Charged the final payment without my authorization. Before install was even close to being finished. 2. Always missing a piece or two to finish everything, they've been here 4 time in the last 2 months. 3. Have a few remaining installation issues and corrections that need to be addressed and no one will respond to emails, voicemails 4. 'Lost' my initial install date, which was poorly communicated, poor communication all around. 5. Installer was great, but the office and installers aren't in sync w products. Recommended I get a part that didn't exist which caused confusion on getting the right pieces.

HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! I purchased items from **** and am happy with the products. However, Traeman's services are horrible. The designers put incorrect parts for the order and I ordered based on their recommendation. Needless to say, SIX MONTHS LATER, the problem hasn't been solved. I've had to exchange products now several times to **** due to their mess up and when we finally finally scheduled an appointment TRAEMAND DIDN'T SHOW. I've left ANOTHER voice mail to the regional manager and now waiting to hear back. I can't understand why BBB would rate them so high if all of the reviews are negative for their corporate headquarters. Seems like it's something BBB should look into as it mitigates their rating system for other businesses.

Traemand is slip shod at best. Our job was to be done 17 May. It is now 31 May, we have a garage full of their leftovers and wrong items, and, gee, we can't seem to get anyone at Traemand to finish the job...

The design, scheduling and installation process was mostly fine. Our kitchen island is not quite straight though, and they made a mess of the wiring for the lighting. I would recommend that anyone using Traemand not have them install the lights. Your electrician can do it better and cheaper. What causes the low review is their billing. They did not discuss additional charges with me, but simply billed them, causing my account to be overdrawn. I would not have agreed to the extra work, had they discussed it with me. They will not return my calls to resolve it.

Worst experience!! Alicia J**** never provided a reschedule date after the company was not able to complete the job in the contracted 2-day time until regional VP was contacted. She then called us liars that she had already provided this information (funny that we have no emails, calls, or voicemails from her regarding a rescheduled date). TERRIBLE customer service form the regional scheduling centers.
