    I had your company start up my swamp cooler this spring on April 24 and was told I needed to replace the pad and quoted a price of $1,100.00 to install the new pad in my Master Cool TD 4800 evaporative cooler. The pad was just replaced last year and the manufacturer states that it can be rinsed out & reused for up to 5 years. My research also indicates that the pad for my unit can be purchased from Home Depot for $98.30 and I know from last year that it can be can be installed in less than 30 minutes.
    My conclusion is that this is either an outrageous markup or a ridiculously high labor estimate or both. I will never use Brothers again and would advise others not to used them.

    I had Brother's out to scope a sewer line. The quote to replace was $38,000+. They tried to get me to sign on the spot to which I refused. Upon receiving multiple other quotes and having done my own research want to ensure others do the same. Please, do your research, never feel pressured to sign and get multiple quotes.

    Brothers plumbing and heating use predatory business practices. They came out to trouble shoot my 28 year old furnace, took it apart, and said that it needed to be replaced (I agree). This was the day before the coldest day in ******** in 35 years, they made sure to mention this to me several times before stating they couldn't turn my furnace back on in fear that it may leak Carbon monoxide. Well, that wasn't the problem with my furnace to begin with and I have several CO alarms in my house that would alert me to this. They said they would put it back together but wouldn't fire it back up. Fair enough, I stated I would start it in order to get through the cold snap, releasing them from liability. They said they could replace the furnace the next day, shook my hand and stated they would send me an estimate. I went to fire up my furnace after they left and it would not fire, I trouble shot it and found that they (in my opinion) left the fan sensor wires disconnected so that It would not fire. I plugged them in and it fired right up. They then sent me a quote for $26,000 for contractor grade ******* equipment. This was for a furnace and an a/c unit. I believe they were preying on a family that was having furnace issues and facing a very, very cold couple of days. Being in the trades myself and a *************************** I got 3 other quotes. The others started $10,000 less than these con men with way better equipment. Non of them mentioned carbon monoxide leaks. This company is preying on customers, I feel bad for older people and not well informed consumers that fall for this absolute highway robbery. Please do not use this company unless you want to pay way more than the industry standard and have people with questionable integrity in your house and working on expensive vital equipment.

    This company quoted $8,000 to replace a furnace in a one bedroom condo for my mother who is close to 80 years old and doesnt have experience in furnace work We wanted a second opinion. The second opinion suggested no furnace replacement at this time. In addition, Brothers plumbing heating and electric said there was a safety issue that should be resolved immediately. This too was deemed unnecessary by our second opinion company. Im skeptical and suspect of a company who suggests a safety issue in order to potentially push a sale when there may not be a safety issue at all. Not only is this unethical, but questionably legal.Below are a few addition pieces of information I find disturbing. The service tech told my husband on the phone that this furnace needed to be replaced immediately due to potential co2 leaking and possible flooding issues. None of this was found to be accurate.I was told over the phone with the same urgency to immediately apply for financing and that my mother wanted to finance $8,000 through them and all I needed to do was answer a few security questions. My mother doesnt use email. So, this agent needed to involve me for authorization on behalf of my mother. If she had email, he would have helped her sign off on financing.This agent according to my mom, was nice, polite and charming. He even showed my mom a picture of his daughter. Im very disturbed by the behavior of this company.
