  Several years ago, we had Beckony Kitchens and Baths add cabinets and countertops to a sewing room. They did an outstanding job, so it was only natural that we called them for our major kitchen remodel. We could not be more pleased. The quality of the products and installation is amazing! Any issues encountered along the way were handled completely and professionally. ***** worked with us to optimize our space and create a gorgeous useful kitchen. The additional workspace that we have now has allowed us to enjoy cooking together again!

  Beckony was excellent. We love our new kitchen. We had heard stories about other peoples remodels and what a nightmare they were. Things always took forever, cost more than estimated, and had the house torn up for months, shoddy work, etc.THAT WAS NOT THE **** WITH BECKONY! They delivered a beautiful product, on time, and on budget. Great, trustworthy people. We couldnt be happier!!

  A complete bait and switch tactic on us. ***** said she will work with our budget and that was her perfect pitch and we signed her retainer. She doubled our budget, and we were not comfortable with this. Then she immediately said she couldn't work with our budget - no sub contracts or bids provided - and kissed our retainer fee goodbye. Very disappointing because we support local businesses and trusted her. There are numerous companies who do not charge a retainer fee with great service.

  ************************* reached out to Beckony in January of 2022. She and ***** came to our Showroom for an initial consultation. We took them to another clients completed project on January 21 to view our workmanship and product quality. They liked what they saw, so ***** then signed our standard Retainer form, with payment, and they scheduled with us to site-measure and photograph their existing spaces.We began the design work on February 15 for a large (27x15) kitchen and a large (16x10) master bath. Although the Retainer Agreement required a maximum of 2 designs and 2 revisions for each, we completed 4 kitchen designs (plus revisions), and 3 master bath designs (plus revisions). They were pleased with the designs produced.We also accompanied them to appointments at our tile and plumbing suppliers, to select products to be used; they were pleased with the materials selected.According to the terms of the Retainer Agreement they signed, this additional design work and outside product consultation was all billable at $125 per hour; the Cordovas were not charged for this additional design and consultation work.In April, we began to note substantial cost increases from all of our material suppliers and tradesmen, and sat down with the Cordovas in June to tell them what we were seeing. As their rooms were large, we told them that in the face of these substantially increased costs, we could do one of these rooms, but not both of them, within the amount of money they were comfortable spending. We also told them that it would be possible to scale-back the scope of both rooms and perhaps keep within their budget.This most certainly is not a bait-and-switch interaction, but simply the current reality caused by the extraordinary inflation affecting the costs of all things over the past year. Beckony performed well beyond the specified terms of the Retainer Agreement.Beckonys mission has always been to give our clients the highest sense of design, materials and workmanship. We have completed hundreds of projects with satisfied and happy clients since ****. It is heartbreaking, for our whole team, when we cant get a project off the ground.
