Bought a bundle package for a textbook and internet package that they advertised. Instead I received the book plus another ebook. After they admitted their system had an error they still refused to give me what I paid for and instead refunded me a portion of what I was charged and then I had to pay almost triple the original cost to get the internet part of my bundle. I used to like this company but it seems they don't mind ripping off college students.

Hi Dakota, We definitely understand it is frustrating to purchase a bundle, and not receive the material you intended to receive. At the time this access code was purchased, we were experiencing an issue with a set of ISBNS that prevented the access code itself from generating access to the Connect coursework. This resulted in the product showing only the text. Unfortunately, the ISBN for the Connect Access Code for Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design was impacted by this. We do apologize that your ISBN was impacted, and understand the urgency for you to have the materials you need to be successful. After reviewing your account, it appears that we have processed a refund for the access code on 8/20/2019 in the amount of $53.00. Those funds should have reflected on your original form of payment within 5 business days. As it is not ideal to have to reorder the access card as you stated to complete your coursework, we have refunded an additional 25% in the amount of $29.50 off of the textbook rental as a courtesy for the trouble experienced with this bundle. Those funds will reflect back to the original form of payment within the next 5 business days. They hold on to your credit card information. Contacted customer service, only option to remove it is to delete account and still then no assurance they won't fraudulently charge it.

Awful company. You can't trust them. They seem to lie about everything. I asked them multiple times to remove my credit card information and they still haven't.

Be cautious when using this site. They charge individually for everything they offer. Ex: you must pay for a subscription and then you also have to pay to use anything on their site like the calculator or tutors. Without my authorization they charged my card 4x $15.00 for tutoring I never got or was able to use. Then when you call they have no customer service for the "tutoring" department. I managed to get an e-mail but they refused to call me each time even though I specifically asked for a call to discuss the robbery. Refused to give me back my money.

SCAM!!! I sold them a book (DSM-V) for their quoted price of $46.72. Once they received my book, they sent me an email stating that the book was an "unauthorized copy" (which I do not know what that means) and that they could not pay me for the book, and were keeping my book because the publishers want it out of circulation. They REFUSED to return my property to me! I asked them if it was "unauthorized," then why are they still selling it for $126.99 and renting it for $59.99 on their website. I have never received a reply. I told them that I only sold this book to make ends meet this month and I insisted that they return it to me. They REFUSED!!! I feel as though I have become the victim of a SCAM!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!

CROOKED COMPANY *****.COM charged my credit card and I've never even heard of them. Customer service tells me that it was probably a hidden free trial within a book that I could not have known to cancel since I never approved it. total scam DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Hidden fees for rentals. When you try to contact customer service all you usually get is an automated message saying how great they are and how easy it is to take care of billing problems. They then tell you are rep's are busy to leave a call back # for which they may or may not call back. If do reach a person all they do is give you the run around while telling you how easy it is like the message said. Then they will recommend you sell them the book back later. But if you look at reviews for that many people complain about their buy back program as well.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT sell your textbooks back to *****.com. Everyone I know as well as myself have become a victim from this company. I sold them a book I bought brand new and had for 8 weeks. You get your quote and send your books in and NEVER get paid. There are so many other companies that will pay you the same amount, if not more.

Received 4 fraudulent charges of 14.95 in the past 2 months. Cancelled service months ago.
