8x8 continues to bill me five months after I cancelled and ported my phone number to another company *********************. $180 so far I terminated services with 8x8 communications in December 2018 owing to poor customer service. I ported my number to a different company I now use - ******************** 8x8 continues to bill me, citing these reasons - Told me I did not cancel, although I have a cancellation request case number, written email and various phone calls made. - They claim until someone reads me a contract, it's not cancelled, no one called or emailed to "read" this cancellation to me. - ************** of 8x8 claimed today I am still under contract till July 2019 with them. I asked for where it shows in their contract, they said our contract we signed in 2015 is "automatically renewed" without our consent or notification every year. - Would not cancel my contract today May 3 asking for me to consent to something that was done in December 2018 - reluctantly sent a ******** *** took an hour 10 minutes on the phone to "Attempt to cancel" our contract.

not resolved, 8x8 still owes us credit for Jan 2019, and apology. They continue to send harrassing billing messages

I own an insurance agency and have used 8x8, Inc for several years. I have been very disappointed in the way they have conducted business. I would strongly encourage any one considering 8x8's services to look elsewhere. Easy to sign up with, but awful and nearly impossible to cancel. They claim you can cancel anytime, but with significant fees. They made it very difficult to actually do it. I think I was placed on hold 7-8 times. The rep claimed computer problems, changed system, and lost train of thought. I was on the phone for 2 hours canceling our plan. Ouch! Easy to sign up with nearly impossible to cancel. Because of our annual contract they told me in January 2019 to call no less than 30 days prior to June 30th in order to NOT auto-renew. When I called in they told me sorry if you chose to cancel right now you will have to pay for another 5 months of early cancelation fees. I told the rep that I was doing what the previous rep instructed me to do. She said, let me see if I can find case notes documenting that they told me that. After a few brief moments she asked me when that conversation happened because she couldn't find it her system. I had to go back and figure out when that was. Once I figured it out by mining through my emails she was able to find it on her own system amazingly. Super simple and easy to sign up with nearly impossible to cancel. Watch out! It's a bit of a trap!
