**BBB Complaint Against ********** Professional ********************************************* LLC**On 2/24/24, ********** picked up my property in ********************************************/shipping to **. Their agent provided an inventory showing 8 computers collected. This was fraudulent - my cleaning crew found 4 supercomputers worth $225,000 left behind. When confronted, ********** admitted the inventory was false via email. However, instead of resolving the issue, they began demanding escalating cash payments to verify my property existed:- March: $1,000 to photograph items - April: $2,040 (Venmo only)- June: $4,787.31 (cash only) - July: $9,176.25 (cash only)For 7 months, I requested simple proof my computers were in their possession. They never provided a single photo despite 50+ emails and dozens of calls. Their representatives "******" and "******" repeatedly promised photos "tomorrow" but never delivered.I made clear I would pay all legitimate charges upon receiving proof of possession. They refused, creating a deliberate catch-22: demanding payment before proving they had my property. On 10/1/24, ********** emailed confirming they auctioned all my property without legal justification or proper notice. They converted approximately $250,000 of business equipment and personal belongings. This appears to be their business model: falsify inventories, refuse verification, manufacture storage disputes, then steal property through sham auctions. They operate under multiple unregistered names (Frontline Moving) to avoid accountability.**Resolution Requested:** Full restitution for stolen property ($250,000), investigation of fraudulent practices, and revocation of business licenses.Business Response

***** ********,,
Thank you for your recent communication.
Please be advised that the matter youve raised is currently part of an active legal case. As such, we are refraining from discussing specific details outside of the formal proceedings.
However, for the record, our documentation clearly shows that you have an unpaid balance related to 18 months of storage fees, among other outstanding charges. These fees were incurred in accordance with the terms of the service agreement you accepted, and we have substantial documentation to support this.
It is our position that your claim is unfounded and appears to be an attempt to avoid payment. All relevant evidence has been submitted through the appropriate legal channels and will be addressed in court.
We remain confident that the legal process will resolve this matter based on the facts and supporting documentation.
Sincerely,

On May 23, 2024 we initiated a move out of our house in Clayton *************** We hired a company online called Safe Ship. They were pretty high so we felt confident going with them. Little did we know, that they are only a broker, and they passed our contract along to a subpar moving company. We paid over $8500 for the move, and an additional $650 a month to put our stuff in storage while our new house was beingbuilt. On May 23, 2024, the moving company showed up and proceeded to start loading our boxes. After a few hours, three Hispanic women up and began helping them. They were throwing our boxes down the stairs to the guys so they could load them on the truck. I put it into that real quick and I called Safe Ship to complain. They said they would call the Moving company and take care of ***** the end of the day, there were still several items that were yet to be loaded on the truck. They included an outdoor patio and a few other items. We were told by the movers, that they couldnt take them because they no longer had any room on the truck. I was stunned. We paid to have all our possessions moved, not just what they could fit on the truck again, I called Safe Ship, theycalled the moving company and things were resolved. They eventually had to come back with another truck that evening and pick up the remaining items On December 23, 2024, I let ****** ****** with Front Line Moving services also known as Barahones Moving and. Storage that we were ready to take possession of our belongings on January 19, 2025 by the calendar this was exactly 4 weeks notice.January came and Mr. ****** let me know that our shipment was going to be late. I specifically asked, a few days a week? He said a few days.We were OK with that.Since then, its been nothing but false promises of a delivery date. A delivery date that keeps floating and moving. It has been over two months and we still do not have our belongings and they will not tell us where they are.Business Response

This company is a complete scam. I was originally quoted a few hundred dollars for them to move our things from one state to a neighboring state. Then, they sent ONE guy to load up our entire house which ended up putting us back a day of travel. The guy loading the truck then explained to us that the original quote of a few hundred dollars was not correct, and that he would have to charge us approximately $5300. I was appalled and asked why this wasn't explained to me over the phone, and why the representative didn't explain it to me. The mover said he didn't know. At this point, my family is stuck and have no other choice but to keep moving forward. The mover said he would have our stuff to us the next day, and then we didn't hear from the company for over 3 weeks. When they finally arrived with our belongings, it was all thrown into the moving truck. Things that we carefully wrapped in moving blankets were broken, and the mover just shrugged his shoulders and said "put in a claim". It's extremely hard to get ahold of anyone at the company, and when I finally found some "back door" phone number, people were rude, yelled and argued with me, and did not do a single thing to make it right after what they did to me and my family. We have been set back so far financially because of this company and it will take us years to recover. We also found out they illegally stored our things in a storage unit for two weeks. We weren't able to go get our things because we had already moved to the other state and were out of money thanks to them. I called the storage unit and the representative said she couldn't legally open the unit without us there. They need to be shut down and never allowed to run a business again. I have more things I can put in my complaint, but the details are too long for this review box. I have plenty of pictures but the files are too big to be attached to this complaint.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I do not trust this company at all. Their response sounds professional (they probably used ChatGPT), but guaranteed they will not follow through with whatever they are claiming they will do. I dont know who typed out the response to me, but I never once dealt with a single person there that treated me with respect, (thats why Im sure they used AI to type it out). With all of the horrible reviews that this company gets, I cant believe theyre not being shut down and forced to go out of business. Theyre just saying what they said in the response in order to look good to the BBB. I already sent them an email on their website months ago asking where I can put a claim in for all of our broken items, but, as expected, no one ever responded to me. Thats another reason why I dont trust this response that theyre giving me in front of the BBB. The only way to make this right with my family is to reimburse us for all the lies, illegal storage, extra costs that we accrued because of their deceit, and mental/emotional stress that they put us through.

I have a statement of the events, but it is too long to fit in this box. Barahonas moved me on Oct 24, 2024. The cost for the move was increased THREE times: Oct 23rd, Oct 24th ( pick up), Nov 2nd (delivery. Charged for having 21 steps when only the "first 5 are free") . In addition, 8 BOXES of my belongings (boots, shoes, handbags, dishes, etc) are "missing." I have damaged furniture, lampshades, etc. I paid for moving boxes for flatscreen tv's and mirrors/pictures that were never brought by the movers. I paid to have a glass coffee table "boxed" and it was merely wrapped in a blanket. On pick up, I was asked to sign a lot of documents. I read one that said I was waiving full reimbursement for my belongings. I refused to sign. The mover said "no, no you are just authorizing the move that's not what that means." He said he couldn't load my things unless I signed, so I trusted him. I was scammed: I will not be fully reimbursed for the stolen items, which is exactly what they wanted. This is so devastating to **** now see that Barahonas has complaints ALL OVER the internet for moving fraud and theft. Customers are all told that their belongings are "missing." *********** sent an email suggesting the boxes were left at my previous residence. Eight boxes, which had numbered stickers placed on them by the movers, were not left in my two bedroom apartment. They then said that my items had "not left the truck since they were loaded." NOT TRUE. There were another customer's belongings in the first third of the truck on pickup. On delivery when my items were unloaded, the truck was empty. I checked because I was looking for the missing ********* does this company keep escaping accountability? They have moved warehouses and changed their name: they are called Barahonas by the broker I used, but now use Frontline Moving and Storage LLC because Barahonas has so many complaints. I am rejecting this response because: This is pattern of behavior with this company. There are many customers who have had similar experiences. The company representative did not address the 6 BOXES that were "missing" when my belonging were delivered. SIX BOXES : silverware, shoes, dishes...disgraceful! He also mentions the "coverage chosen." Again, the mover refused to load my items if I didn't sign the insurance document. I asked about it because the coverage was minimal, and he said "no, it doesn't say that," trying to tell me that what I was reading was not correct (but it was). I had to be out of my apartment that day, so I had no choice but to sign. Coercion , theft, lying, incompetence, and total disregard for customer's property is the hallmark of **********************. Many complaints have been made against them. MANY.Sincerely,

I hired America first moving company to move my belongings from ********** to *****. I paid up front over $1651.00 to reserve my space on the truck. When moving day arrived they sent a different company called Barahonas Professional Moving . Two men came in a truck and they said they were an extension of America's first moving company. After they loaded most of my boxes they Informed me that I had more things than the initial quote was for. I was fine with having to pay more because we did have more than we initially thought. Then ***** the head guy of the Barahonas Professional Moving company said if we paid $4600 plus another $4600 when they arrived in ***** that he would move my things in that same truck and meet me in ***** so I wouldn't have to wait for my belongings and he said it would cost more than that if I shared the truck with another customer like the initial plan was due to me having more than the quoted cubic feet that was quoted. So I decided to let them move my belongings straight to ***** to make it easier since my kids would be starting school when we got here and they would need their beds and other belongings. Now I'm in ***** and ***** won't respond for days at a time. He now says his truck is broken and I need to call America's first to figure out how I'll get my belongings. I have already paid more than the initial quote. I don't have any of my stuff and nobody will answer the phone or call me back. I don't know what to do. They robbed me of my things that I can't replace and they took $6251.00 already from me. I don't know what to do to get any of my things. This is beyond unprofessional. It's criminal and they won't even tell me where my things are. I have nothing, my kids are sleeping on the floor and they start school in a week. This is a terrible company. They wait until they load the truck then have you send more money then they don't show up. Barahonas Professional Moving and America's first should be shut down. It's a scamBusiness Response

This is a call for help to recover my stuff already!!!This company picked up my one studio size -relocating items and I haven't heard from them since. They said that the company will contact me with a date of delivery but, nobody has done it yet. They said they will take the stuff to ************ for storage, and they will drive it 300 mil. to its destination. This location is Not out of state and should have been delivered no less than two weeks afterwards. This process is dragging out into the third week and I havent heard a date of delivering my stuff. I'm completely in the dark.I paid to have my stuff delivered and not to save it in storage. I found out that this company has two stars in BBB due to so, so , so many consumer's complains about illegal practices, I don't understand how are they allowed to stay in "business?" My Uncle and Aunt hired this moving company and they were very unprofessional and also over charged my uncle and aunt. They were supposed to be at their house at 10am they were an hour late. Didnt have the prefessionalism to call and let them know. They were only moving the stuff 2 hours away. They didnt finish packing the truck up until 3pm. Took them over 4 hours to drive 82 miles. **** my aunt an estimate for $700. They arrived at the new house at 730pm and immediately asked me for payment before they unload the truck. I told the guy that he needed tp unload truck for payment. Im guessing he didnt think I knew about the contract. He started arguing with me saying he dont know me and becoming beligerant. So I began telling him to unload and that they were my family and that they called them earlier to let them know since they had car trouble on their way to the new destination. On their contract they dont get paid until job is done. So I told them to unload the truck as I had a key to open the door for them. *** said he wont do it until he gets paid. By this time is is getting dark so my husband told me to ask how much it cost. The guy then calls someone talking in Spanish about the cost. Apparently they dont have a formal signed contract but my aunt approved the estimate of $700 and for them to have up to three people doing the job. The drive is the main person I am speaking of. Speaking spanish to a guy on the phone he still didnt tell me the amount SO they guy put me on the phone wiht his boss and I was told that they dont get paid until the truck in unloaded. So I asked him why is his guy already asking for payment on a job not done. He then told them to start unloading the truck and they still didnt start even after that call. My aunt then called me and I had her tell them to get started at that time she was also on the phone speaking the a man named ******. Once she told him her car troubles and that she had the cash to pay them they then started unloading the truck. They started unloading the truck at 815pm and then finished at 9pm. Charged my aunt over $2252.50 for the hours and then told her that she is paying each of them out of that payment and that is why its so high. Didnt even give her a hard copy receipt but wrote on a small envelope the payment in cash plus the credit card payment she had to make with it. Next day in daylight we started unpacking the stuff and found a lot of missing items. %% inch Flat screen TV, red microwave, white microwave stand with two door cabinet that stands 5 feet tall, apple laptop, and some other items. Called the company today and they tell her they will check the truck and see if it was left in there. We know they stole it. After reading all the reviews we come to realize that they scammed her out of her money as well as stole her items. We are seeking revenue of the stolen items or the return of the stolen items as well as the amount of $1552.50. Now I dont know how this company do their business but if you quote someone $700 and then come tell them it is almost 4 times that amount something does not add up. I want my uncle and aunt compensated for their troubles in the amount of $1552.50. That is the amount over waht was quoted in their original estimate. They saidtheyw ill be emailing her the hard copy and I believe there will be some trumped up charges to make their lies stick. But I am also calling the news channel and having them investigate them for fraud. I know for a fact that they are still doing this and this is not their first time. Also from reading the reviews I am sure a lot more people will doing the same.Business Response

We were paired with ********** Professional Moving and Storage through a broker (Allegiance) for our move from **************** to ********. We were told our belongings would be delivered within ***** business days from the first available pickup date we indicated and it has now been 45 business days since our first available delivery date (not including weekends and holidays). They picked up our belongings on October 4th, we indicated our first available day of delivery to be October 25th, and it is now the last day of December and we still have not received our belongings. We have tried several times to call the two numbers they listed as contact numbers and nobody ever picks up or returns our voicemails, and most of the time the calls go straight to voicemail. We have emailed multiple times as well and they have only responded twice, the last time being over 3 weeks ago on December 8th when they told us that the truck that has our stuff was stuck in ********* "due to mechanical breakdown". We were told that they would update us as soon as the truck was back on the road and they never said anything else or updated us; we asked for an update on December 17th and it's now the 31st and we haven't heard anything at all. It is completely unacceptable to not respond to ANY forms of communication. They also veered from our contract with allegiance and refused to let us verify that we were being charged the correct amount by measuring the cubic feet and they ended up changing our contract from owing $3K to owing over $4K. We paid them $2017 when they picked up our belongings and still owe them $2014 upon delivery when we were originally only supposed to pay ~$1500 upon pickup and ~$1500 on delivery. With how late they are we are going to either demand a substantial amount be taken off of our final price or file a police report for stolen goods. They have had our stuff for almost 3 months and refuse to pick up the phone or respond to our emails/communicate anything to us.Business Response

I'd also like to ask about a discount or something along those lines given that I'm likely going to have to replace a bit of the fragile items and I've been inconvenienced not having my items for a few months now. Given that the weather will still be poor in ********* and it needs to be seen by an auditor before it can continue on it's way to Virginia, I'm guessing it will be quite a while before I see my belongings still.
Thanks again for reaching out. I appreciate the help regarding the matter.
V/r,
*************************"
I have not received a reply since sending the above mentioned email on the 18th. As it stands, I've been told an auditor needs to inspect the material before it is scheduled for a final delivery. There is still no ETA as to when that will be completed and it has been 3.5 months since ********** initially picked up my belongings.
