      I recently made a purchase over $1,000 through Rakuten, expecting to receive the advertised 10% cashback. However, the cashback was later denied because I used a 5% welcome promo code during checkout. At the time of purchase, Rakuten was clearly promoting the 10% cashback offer, and there was no mention in their terms and conditions that using a welcome/new user promo code would disqualify the cashback. This experience felt misleading, and I will be very cautious about using Rakuten in the future.

      Intentionally misleading, never received any promised funds and never got any kind of proper response to my customer service inquiries. As many others have said, a true bait and switch, no substance at all, and very frustrating. Would avoid!

      I've made several purchases and received a response, "Your cash back is in the works". Upon checking my account those purchases were not listed. When trying to get assistance from customer service (phone) the response auto-message says no one can help at this time and you should use their help center on the website. The website help center repeatedly kicks the user out and you cant enter your proof of purchase or even submit a general question. Rakuten is a SCAM!

      Twice they have avoided a cash back when the amount was significant. I lost $40 on a ****** purchase last year. Now they won't give me *********** rebate claiming it could this could take >45 days. After yell7ng me to wait 2 months before pursuing the missed rebate. Use another cash back.

      I ordered something from ***** for $301.69 on 11/29/24, and Rakuten was offering 12% cash back, so I should have received $36.20 back. I also ordered something from ********* for $283.13 on 11/29/24, and Rakuten was offering 12% cash back, so I should have received $33.97 back. I never received cash back for these orders. I contacted their customer support multiple times over the past 7 months and provided all the necessary proof and receipts. I have the initial confirmation emails from Rakuten on 11/29/24 saying that my cash back was on its way for both ***** and ********* orders. I have yet to see my cash back. Rakuten owes me $70.17 and refuses to answer my multiple complaints through their website/emails.

      I reached out to Rakuten after I didn't see credit for a purchase I made that I felt should have qualified for cash back. They were responsive and upfront and over the course of a couple back-and-forths, I was given reasons pertaining to the company I bought from denying the credit and not Rakuten. After speaking with **** I expressed my disappointment with the resolution. *** went above and beyond with an offer to help with quelling my disappointment. I didn't ask or demand anything, but *** responded and was willing to make a gesture as a "thanks" for being a member of Rakuten. That is great customer service.

      BEWARE:This Rakuten is a scamming app! They are using your ***************** to claim the cash back from the company & will come up with weird excuses not to pay your portions! For the first few trips, they will give your portion of the cash back to make the Apps look legitimate! Then, they will ask you for the receipt and order details. After receiving the requested receipts, they will come up with fishy excuses not to pay ****** reality, they are claiming cash back using your order ****************** keeping the whole cash back for themselves & never paying the customers.

      Terrible experience no cashback and poor customer support I placed two Lightbox Jewelry orders through Rakuten yesterday morning, expecting 3.5% cashback as advertised. However, Rakuten failed to track both purchases.When I attempted to manually add the orders later in the day, I found that Lightbox Jewelry had been completely removed from Rakutens site no store page, no link, nothing. I contacted customer support multiple times, but the responses were vague, unhelpful, and ultimately useless.This experience reflects poorly on Rakutens reliability and integrity. Removing a store without warning right after a promotion, then refusing to honor cashback, is unacceptable. Very disappointed.

      They scammed me out of $200 cash back I was rightfully owed. They claim I left the website and used a coupon that nulled the cashback. At no point was this made clear to me that this would negate the cashback. My cashback said pending for 11 WEEKS. If it was so clear and cut that it was ineligible, why wouldn't it have said so from the beginning? Absolute SCAM! I used Rakuten for well over a decade and will never touch it again. If this is how you treat lifelong customers, you will be out of the market soon enough.

      Hello ***** Rakuten can only award Cash Back when an order is determined to have been placed according to the Terms and Conditions each member agrees to. When a store informs us that credit was not given due to these terms not being met, we are given no commission and thus are unable to share it with you.
