We have redeemed our $200 gift card to our account. I placed an order and had to cancel it because we decided to just use it on Thanksgiving as we want to get the meal that is diabetes-friendly for my boyfriend’s dad. When I decided to finally use it, I noticed that my account was closed. I never received anything, not even an email saying why my account was closed. I tried calling and reached someone who clearly doesn’t know what’s going on, or what the problem is and how to resolve it. I asked for a supervisor since the rep clearly doesn’t know what to do and just saying bunch of stuffs that are not related to the problem. He said the supervisor told him that they’ll just call me. I waited but never received anything. Im putting this here to warn everyone to NEVER EVER, never deal with this company. I have tried **********, ********* ********** *** and have never experienced any problems with them. I hope corporate knows how to train their customer service, let alone, teach them how to use their system.

Worst customer service from all meal subscription services. And the highest price. We received $250 gift card from a family member. I was already a customer with regular deliveries so I loaded it on my account. Received boxes two weeks with no problem and then one week as I was trying to fund out tracking my order I find out the canceled my delivery and my account for no reason, did not notify me (i was relying on a box as I ordered extra groceries with it). Also my remaining $80 credit disappeared from my account. Spoke to extremely rude and unhelpful representative just to find out next day that my credit is still not on my account and had to contact them again. Ordered box for this week to spend remaining credit and they canceled my order again!!! Ive been trying to get in touch with somebody for a day with no luck. Of course they dont have a number you can call, so they dont need to deal with customer. Worst customer service ever. After I finally manage to use the credit I wont ever order from this business again and will warn everybody about them. Worthless customer service, terrible business practice. Oh and their 100% satisfaction guarantee? Yeah, thats a joke too.

I got a coupon for new customers for 50% off. I used it 2 weeks before expiration date for an order after expiration date. Confirmation showed correct billing amount. However, now tha shipment is being processed, they charged full price!!!! When I called, they cancelled my order entirely even though I just asked for the credit of 50%! Now with the pandemic, I have no food in my house for next week! DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM SUN BASKET!!!!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not only is my box a day late, Sun Basket does not care. Their only response was to tell me "good news" your shipment is still on its way, and that the food will not spoil. Absolutely no mention of an apology for the fact I didn't have dinner last night and no offer of a credit or refund.

Very disappointed. I'm going to Hello Fresh with my business. I recieved my items after 4 days in transit, and all items were warm including the meat so that's one of the 3 meals we won't be making (our other two meals were vegetarian). On top of that the order did not give me a chance to choose my delivery date, when I tried to change the date I found out too late I'm now getting TWO of the same boxes and was charged for two boxes. which does not make sense because my first box did deliver on the later requested date, but im still receiving a second box of the exact same items at another later date?! I tried contacting customer support without much help. I understand that schedules need to be maintained but the fact that the site did not make it clear I was getting a second identical box instead of just changing the date of the first one was extremely frustrating. nothing from the first delivery warrants a good review

Sun basket rips you off and allows your financial information to be hacked. I had canceled Sun basket almost a year ago. Unbeknownst to me, I received an email that I had gifted someone with a large amount of money for Sun basket and the money was taken from my account. I had an unauthorized charge and fraudulent activity on my Sun basket account. Unfortunately with the COVID-19, customer service was not available with the banking entity or Sun basket. After a full day of reaching out to both the banking entity and Sun basket, I finally received a refund. The charge went through the next day which caused other banking issues (NSF). I reached back out to Sun basket and they did not take ANY ownership for their lack of failing to provide a secure website! If I could give zero stars, I would.

At a time when everything is uncertain sun basket released an email stating they will do everything to ensure no disruption of service. But then; not sure of their ability to keep up with demand, continued to take new memberships unlike other meal delivery services that held off. They did it to such an extent that first they had to move our delivery day due to increased demands, then they had to remove meals after already selecting them, and finally- informed us (With minimal notice) that they couldn’t deliver at all. But worse than anything, they did deliver to some first time customers. So while we had a few days to scramble to find options at a time when going to the grocery store isn’t one, other people who just signed up for the service got our meals. Their customer service team is not only not equipped to make decisions or actually help, but are filled people people who lack human responses and give copy and paste answers. They admitted that they couldn’t fulfill all orders (Both new and old) but completely fail to see their negligence in taking new customers. Hello fresh, blue apron, butcher box, all sorts of subscriptions services stopped customer acquisition to ensure consistent service to existing customers. I still cannot believe the greed and irresponsibility of this company for not doing the same.

Fedex lost my delivery. I reported this immediately to Sun Basket. The CSR said she would credit my gift certificate account the $80 for the missed delivery, and change my delivery date to Tuesdays, on which they use a different delivery system. Instead of doing this, she ordered me a delivery for that next Tuesday - a week that I had specifically order to be skipped as I didn't like the menu - and charged me ANOTHER $80. This wiped out the remainder of my gift certificate balance, and they then charged $32 to my credit card. I will dispute this charge with my credit card company, dispute the charge on my husband's card if they don't restore the $80 for the missed delivery to my gift certificate account, and file a complain with the BBB. I have found Sun Basket staff to be both unhelpful and utterly incompetent.

I also perused their website and ended up receiving a box of food I did not order. I notified the company immediately, telling them not to send, and — as other reviewers have stated — got the run-around about cancelling my account but it was “too late” to stop this particular “order” and I would be charged. And I was. Taking it up with my credit card company. Unethical business practices.

We checked our records and it showed that your account was canceled per your request on May 23rd 2019 by a member of our customer service team. The account was reactivated by you online Sept 1st 2019. Our records indicate that you were actively managing your account and skipping weekly orders during the month of Sept 2019. We have several methods for customers to reach out to us, we've also made chat available on our website and mobile app during business hours for customers who need help with their Sun Basket account. Also, at any point in time, if a customer wishes to cancel their Sun Basket subscription they can do so from our website and mobile app in "Settings". We also have a dedicated customer service team available to help on several platforms. Since we're a weekly subscription company we do have a cutoff window. Our weekly cutoff to modify, change, or skip any order is every Wednesday at 12pm Pacific.

I was very excited to try this service as my hours at work are now much longer and I am looking for healthy options to stay on track. When the basket was delivered it was a mess. The ice pack had melted, leaving everything damp and the meat (steak, salmon and chicken) were all room temperature. The vegetables (zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes) were mushy and damaged (they looked like a dog had been carrying them around in their mouth) and the onion was wet. In the basket also came carrots I had ordered additionally- they were slimy and looked like the ones I pull out of my crisper after forgetting they are there for a few weeks. There was aioli and pesto in the basket- the aioli we didn't want to eat due to eggs (and the room temperature) being part of the ingredients and the pesto was brown. As a result, I threw the basket away as I did not feel it was safe and cancelled my subscription. I e-mailed the company the day of the delivery (because it says within 7 days is their policy) to inform of my concern/dissatisfaction and still have not received a response. I e-mailed again today but a not confident that I will hear back. I won't be using any meal service again after this experience, back to grocery pick up it is!
