      Today I noticed an $8 charge from empower ************************, as I looked back in my bank account, ******************** has been charging $8 since February, I don't have an account, I don't understand how I have a subscription, I didn't get a cash advance or anything, I emailed them and I got an email right back telling me that I have an account but they will close it no problem, okay but how did they get my information, what email is it under, I never received an email from empower or anything saying I had signed up for a subscription, now I am out $56 that I know off just weird and scary, I will contact my bank to get those charges reimbursed if Empower doesnt.

      I never borrowed anything from this scam of a company. Just inquired if I could borrow, was given an amount and refused to borrow anything. I have emailed them to cancel and remove me from completely their system. They keep taking $8 from my account. I call and it's a robot, no human beings to talk to. Never received a confirmation or anything removing me from their system. Big time scammers, they need to be shut down. Cancel and remove from your entire system. Now!!!!

      No live person to talk to all bots apparently nobody works there. Please be advised that is a total sham and you cant make a simple payment if you are to switch Repayment accounts try not to do business in the future or anytime with this company.

      I paid my account off in full and closed the account in May 2024. It is now July 2024 within that time I have file disputes with TransUnion to have my credit report updated, but Empower hasnt sent them any updated information. They only want to send me emails which I have all of them and say its being escalated. **************** is terrible agent refused to transfer me to a supervisor because I have been communicating via email. I requested a letter back in May to show this account is closed never got it just emails!

      Empower app doesn't tell you upfront of an $8/month subscription fee that is automatically deducted from your bank account. Intrusion on your account transaction history. I don't appreciate seeing all of my transactions and balances posted on the app. Signed up with Empower one month ago yet I see EVERY bank transaction from January. Empower stores and hijacks your bank accounts to use as they wish.

      I tried to request a repayment through customer service/support. Application for repayment would not recognize me as being logged in after multiple attempts and actually being logged in to app. Would not recognize my email which is after using services for over a year. When finally able to send email was unable to reschedule payment which I have never had to do. Only to be told I was illegible due to business days from payment. Even after days of trying to contact company through their support services which would not recognize me as a member. Seemed impossible to reach customer services through application. Not happy with application as a whole. Not user permissible. Fraudulent.

      They attempt to withdrawal my repayment before I get paid. I have sent multiple emails and nothing changes. This week the money was removed 3 days before I got paid. I go through a tank of gas a day at work. I get paid on FRIDAYS. I woke up to my checking account drained. For the love of god, please STOP taking money out of my account 3 days before I get paid. If I could I would give zero stars, but that's not an option.

      They send no confirmation that you have signed up for a free trial. They do not send any confirmation that a free trial has ended and you will now be charged. Their charges on your debit cards show as point of service transactions so you have to go through the fraud department of your bank to discover that it was, in fact, NOT a point of service charge and actually a subscription fee. They are misleading customers into unknowingly being signed up for a service they do not use and then hiding their charges.
