I would not use this company. I thought that I was just checking rates but they used my information to apply for loans to companies that I would never apply to. I received loan rejection letters from 2 companies so far. Credible portrays as though they are looking for the best rate for you and then submits your information to companies without your knowing. I will never utilize Credible again.Credible.com Response

Hi *****,Credible is a marketplace for comparing prequalified rates with several lenders at once for different products, such as personal loans, student loans, and mortgage loans. When you create a pre-qualification request on our marketplace, you authorize Credible and the lenders on our site to perform a soft credit pull that will not impact your credit score. A soft credit pull involves obtaining your credit score and credit profile, including existing credit accounts, balances, etc. The emails you have received from lenders are called denial letters or "adverse action notices." Some lenders choose to treat a pre-qualification on Credible as an application and send these out if they are unable to offer rates. To verify that this soft credit pull did not impact your credit score, you may obtain a free copy of your credit report at annualcreditreport.com one time each year. We've proactively marked your Credible account as Do Not Contact, and you should have the ability to remove yourself from our partner lenders' correspondence as well.Review from Michael B

This seems like a scam. They have all my info and they were unable to help me. But, I'm now getting offers from other companies I didn't get before. Credible also has already sent me an email to try for their services again and even suggest I do it once a month. I'm nervous about the information they have of mine.Review from Joseph E

Hi ******,Thanks for taking the time to reach out with your review. Credible is a marketplace for comparing pre qualified rates with several lenders at once for different products, such as Personal Loans. Our records indicate that you came to our site on November 20th and prequalified for options through our partner lenders. We typically recommend people fill out the form on a computer using ****** Chrome. This combination provides the best experience on our site and mitigates most tech issues. If this does not solve your issue, please don't hesitate to reach out! To verify that this soft credit pull did not impact your credit score, you may obtain a free copy of your credit report at annualcreditreport.com one time each year. If you received adverse action notices from lenders, they may contain additional important information.Review from James N

Horrible experience. My process began in October 2021 and I was denied in January 2021. I was self employed and sold my company. I provided the sales agreement, financial terms, etc. and Credible blamed my denial on the mortgage company that they selected. They set up another mortgage company, I had to resubmit virtually everything again and the rates went up significantly. The closing costs were not explained, I was rushed through the second closing and companies that I never heard of were contacting me (Spruce?) without explanation. Communication was poor and explanation of all fees was nonexistent. This was one of the most frustrating things I have ever gone through.Review from Holly R

I found a better rate from a different company the same day I checked rates through Credible. I signed with the other company and applied for the $200 best rate guarantee that same day. I sent multiple emails and ultimately someone emailed me back stating I was ineligible. Not very credible...Review from Julia M

I provided all of my personal financial information to refinance my student loans, and the rate they quoted me was significantly off from what the lender actually tried to sell me. Unfortunately that means a hard credit check which hurts my credit score that I have worked so hard for.At the end of the day, my current student refinance loan which I did through **************** is a much lower rate than what Credible's lenders actually offered, which again was different than what Credible actually quoted me. Recommend shopping elsewhere.Review from Jeffrey K

Credible is asking for my login credentials to MEFA due to what they say is a "system-related issue, you will need to reset your password with the lender." Then, they wanted me to open up an incognito browser window while they gain access to the account??? WTF? Are you kidding me??? I spoke with MEFA and they assured me this was false information and that I should NOT give Credible my MEFA login information. This sounds like a complete scam, and if it is not, then Credible needs to figure out a better way to work with both their vendors and clients. I've worked in cyber-security. This violates every basic security rule. AwfulReview from Oscar B

I am not sure if the process is owned by Credible of its affiliate Commonbond. It is a shame that I could not close the loan, as they had very good competitive interest rate. However, the paperwork seemed endless. With the last one, I decided not to proceed, although they already messed my credit score. The last paper requested by the underwriter was the transcript of my university, which I provided. However, their system did not recognize University of Phoenix in their network. It would have been nice to know that unless an university is not on their network, they would not let you proceed with application. The process was also very slow... Each day, they would come up with a new requirement to the process... and then waiting 3-5 business days for them to tell me that University of Phoenix was not in the network. Not a great experience for me. I ended it up refinance my loan with another lender, since I lost my patience with their process.Review from Scott S

I received my credit report and they had an inquiry for my credit but it is impossible to contact them for the reason. They seem to deal with student loans and I paid off my student loans 30 years ago.
