1 starApparently, when Lifelock did a dark web check, they found my email n other info from truthfinder there. Just letting all of you know. I cant get into the finder account to delete the acct. No ********************** is not free.

1 starAVOID AT ALL COST! They pretend to be free but actually charge $28 a month This website is a scam that lures you in with false promises of free background checks and then wastes your time with endless questions and fake loading screens. I am a web developer, I can tell.They did this because of the sunk-cost fallacy. The sunk cost fallacy is a cognitive bias that causes people to stick with a plan, course, or approach that isnt working because of how much they have already invested in it.The more time they can get you to waste before the paywall, the more likely you are to bite the bullet and pay to avoid losing all that work (even though the work was fake and unnecessary for the report)It hits you with sensationalists and fear-mongering tactics, such as warning you about criminal records, embarrassing comments, graphic content or government watchlist. It's honestly a hilarious to me as a web developer. But also very frustrating. They don't deserve any business haha.Truthfinder

This is just a data vacuum sucking up as much information about everybody who enters their services.Their background checks aren't regulated by state law and are not admissible for employment. I discourage you from using any online data or information gathering website but instead go to the state police, credit bureau, or other agency and know your rightsTruthfinder

In 2023, I am STILL receiving WARNINGS from my Credit Protection that Truthfinder is sharing my personal information, ***************** I login using forgot my password to find my account was STILL active. I cancelled & deleted AGAIN! This company is violating your privacy! After 6 years, they are still showing up on my Credit Protection Reports!Truthfinder
