Purchased vehicle on May 2, 2025. The car&#**;s check engine light came on the following day. Persisted to get my money back by reaching out to H3432343537**35333431Hperson, he was not available and out for a week. I got in touch with him and told him I wanted my money back he says not going to happen, he told me bring the car in and he would take care of the issue I was having. I went to the shop at the dealership. He lied about helping me. I took my vehicle to be diagnosed at ********** on 5/27/2025. I have a whole video from mechanic, with full details of all the problems wrong with the vehicle. The warranty will not cover any of the repairs (the are electrical)

Business Response to BBB Complaint ****** ****

    To Whom It May Concern,

We are responding to the complaint submitted by ****** **** regarding a used vehicle purchased from our dealership on May 2, 2025.

Ms. **** purchased the vehicle as-is, with no dealer warranty, as clearly disclosed in the signed Buyers Guide and sales documents. At the time of sale, the vehicle was inspected and test-driven, and the customer accepted the terms and condition of the sale. She was also provided with a third-party service contract, which has its own terms and coverage exclusionssomething the dealership has no control over.

Ms. ***** claims regarding the vehicles condition and dealership conduct are false and defamatory. The vehicle was not patched together, and no promises of a refund were made. Her statements appear to be part of an attempt to avoid making her loan payments, which is outside the dealerships responsibility.

We are not open to any further communication or settlement with this customer. This was a proper and legal transaction, and we reject her accusations entirely.

Kian Auto Sales operates in full compliance with California law and has sold hundreds of vehicles transparently and fairly. We respectfully request this complaint be closed as unfounded and unsubstantiated.

    Sincerely,
    ****** *****
    Owner, Kian Auto Sales

Hello, on February 24 my fianc and I purchased a 2005 ****** Xterra from Kian Autosales dealership. When we looked at the car, everything seemed to be fine. However, on the way home, the service engine light came on. I thought that the reason could be that because they didnt change the oil. But the morning after, the car went into limp mode, making it so that we can't drive it. So I checked the codes with a code reader and codes P1716, P1754, and P0420 all popped up. Two transmission failure codes and a catalytic converter failure code. It seems that Kian Auto sales cleared the codes before showing us the car thus concealing the issues with the car before selling it to us. We paid 4500 before taxes and registration and 5400 after taxes and registration for the vehicle. I contacted him a couple days after and his response was that its an old car and that theres nothing he can do about it after I requested for him to pay for repairs or give us a refund. I want a refund.

*********************** sold me a car on December 20th. At the time, he said he would register the transfer of title in about a week at the **** and send me the paperwork. Since then he has lied and created fradulent paperwork. He made up a story that there was a lien on the car he had to pay. His "wholesale license" had fake, handwritten paperwork acquiring the car. His transfer to the dealership was never filed. Twice he send me a "completed" title that was nothing more than a fradulent piece of paper. Finally he admitted he screwed up, and that he will not register the car. He refuses to return the money for the vehicle, refuses to turn over the title paperwork, and continues to lie. 6 months have passed, in those months he has repeated lied and refused to respond to his phone or show up at his dealership. The car cannot be registered or driven and the money has been stolen.

On 6-1-23 I purchased a used car from Kian, by 6-5-23 the car was making a loud noise and had loss of power. I contacted dealer and he said take it to a certified mechanic as the car has warranty. I did so and the warranty company said the part that needed replacement was not covered and that it would be $673 to fix, I contacted the dealer and said hey its $673 to fix and I just got the car and should not be responsible for this, they agreed and said they would send their mechanic to come pick up the car by ******. He showed up on **** with no tow truck and said he was driving the car from ******** to **********, which for a car not in good repair was not a good idea but he did it anyways. I did not get the car back until **** in which he also drove it back and the minute I turned it on the engine light came back on, and the car still had no power. I called him right away and he acted surprised, I asked him for receipts of new parts and he said he was out of town and would provide to me later. I went and got the car scanned right away that day and the code came back for the knock sensor which was the same exact part he said he replaced, the car also makes a loud noise with a new sensor that says stop engine low oil pressure. He obviously lied about fixing the car and kept telling me to go through warranty, go through warranty. I did not buy a car to not have it for almost a month and pay a deductible right off the back to get it fixed, he has not provided proof of any work done, should not have driven the car in that condition, and should return the car. In fact, he knows what he is doing as he asked for the mileage on the car and was like oh looks like it is past **** I can't take the car no more, but he is the one who drove it 2 cities over and had it for almost 2 weeks and drove it all over putting the miles on it. This car is for my 17-year-old starting college and I should be able to feel safe with her in that car, this car is unsafe, does not accelerate if she has to merge.

I bought my vehicle from them on 6/15/2022 I was in the process of getting the vehicle smogged to register the vehicle on 10/19/2022(as a first time car owner I didn't know that I didn't need to get it smogged for the registration.) The results of the smog showed that it did not pass due to having an aftermarket catalytic converter on rear without part numbers or EO numbers. No parts were changed from the time the vehicle was purchased by myself to the time I took the vehicle to get smogged. The business establishment **************************************** suggested that the vehicle has been tampered with prior to the purchase of the vehicle.

12/20/2022 I spoke to *********************** regarding a vehicle I found listed on Carmax. I told him I was going to go by Saturday to check the vehicle and he said if I gave him a $300.00 payment, he would hold the vehicle. I asked if the payment was refundable he said it was. ***** said if I did not show then he wouldn't refund it but if I did he would. When I showed up, the vehicle was not ********************************************************************************** the pictures, the tires were flat and had not thread. When I talked to him about all this he got offended and even more mad when I told him I was not going to purchase the vehicle as it was not what it was advertised. ***** refused to refund me the money.
