I switched my insurance to UHC thinking that the rating that were given were accurate. I scheduled my first visit with the ******** office at the beginning of 2024. I was not happy with a lot of kids running around, the dirty floors and the overall appearance of the office, but I figured looks could be deceiving.When I was called in, I did my X-Rays and had an exam. One of my first thoughts when walking behind the doors, is the place felt like a type of farm. So many chairs and so much going on, it felt like a production line. When I was finally seated to wait for a dentist, I had to hear the most vulgar conversations between the dental assistance who decided to have their conversation about 10 feet from me. To make things worse, I had to apologize to my 8 year old afterwards and explain to him that some people are just not classy.After my exam I was told that I would have to wait for authorizations for the treatment that the dentist said I would need. My visit was at the beginning of this year, and now we are coming up to the end of the first month. I decided to check my insurance because I had got an alert. The alert told me that I was being billed over $1500! I was told that the x-rays and exam were totally free and covered by my insurance. I called the company and they told me that I had fillings put in, when that was a lie. I had only been in one time! The woman on the phone apologized and then magically started reading the treatments that were actually prescribed. Because of how fast this change was made, I feel like this office was trying to take advantage of me and my insurance.Needless to say, I will not be doing anymore business with this company and I hope that the erroneous charges are quickly fixed. The woman on the phone said that she would correct the problem with billing, but we will see.
