    I went for a smog test. I asked how much was the cost. I was told it is $59. I agreed. I am required to smog test my car every two years and this has always been the price. After I paid I saw that he charged me $69. When I pointed it out, he responded, "Im sorry". As if he's never done this before. He said the additional $10 is for the certificate. To which I responded, you should have said that when I asked the price. His answer should have been, $59 plus $10 for certificate. *** when a business omits information, they are not being honest and attempting to make it sound like the price is less expensive than the actual charge. I want my $10.00 refunded to my original payment method. Next time maybe he will be clear and accurate on cost. He knew full well that he would charge additional $10 for the certificate. I should have been informed. I did not receive an estimate. I did not receive a copy of invoice until after I paid.

    No problem if you feel like there was a miscommunication or a mistake with the transaction feel free to come back to our business and we will refund the amount of $10. we apologize for the misunderstanding.

    I am rejecting this response because:  There was no miscommunication.  You were dishonest and omitted information for financial gain.   I am not comfortable returning to your place of business.  You can refund my original payment method with my bank card.   You said the cost was $59.  You wrote a receipt for $69.  Then you charged my bank account $69.99.  That is unlawful and if you do this to others, it adds up to a financial advantage for you.  If you do not credit my account, I will take this to small claims and ask for more money for your intent to defraud.  It is not about the money, it's the principle.
