I’m Vic Joshi, a native Bay Area resident and an independent California home loan expert, helping home buyers and investors with mortgage loans for over 20 years. I work as an agent at my company, Straight Deal Mortgage. I’m also a California licensed real estate agent since 1998. 

My mission is to help buyers qualify for the loan terms they want that works for their circumstance. I spend a generous amount of time with each client to educate them about how the mortgage industry works, through free “Mortgage 101” consultations, so they can make good decisions and get a great loan. I’ve revamped my website to give clients a trove of current resources to supplement my consultations.



Because I’ve been in this industry so long, I’m aware of its inner workings, trends, the adversarial relationship between buyers and lenders, the lending practices of banks versus brokers, and the arbitrary rules and guidelines that lenders and underwriters follow. I’ve witnessed the impact on buyers resulting from changes in the industry through lending booms and crashes. I’m passionate about using that experience to help steer every client through the complexities of loan shopping so they can avoid the pitfalls and get the loan they need for the home they want. Part of my process is educating clients about how the loan process works.
