Purchased a Grohe Shower Set from them, on installation we found that the valve had been modified (machine screw had been hacked into replace where someone had broken the normal attachment) and it leaked. I cannot comment on who did this, but if Grohe did, they are seriously negligent to ship such a unit. A Grohe rough in box purchased at the same time was also defective (leaking cold shut off valve) but because my plumber has already trimmed the plastic housing before realizing that problem, I understand that part was non-returnable to Granite Expo. On attempting to return it, they refused return, saying that their return policy excludes anything that has been 'installed', which they interpret and anything but taking it out of the box, even if i cannot be installed due to being defective. A careful reading of that policy (printed in light grey, small type) will show that NO part of it includes any reference to this policy about installation, just that things been to be in the same state that it was received in and with the packaging, which was the case here. The 'manager', '*****' refused my request for a written statement that they would not accept the part and refused to give his full name, intending, I suspect to wait out their 20 day return policy. While their prices are good, their customer service is non-existent. In the last few years we have spent thousands with them in remodeling costs, but will never do business with them again, saving a couple of hundred dollars on 4000+ of costs was not worth doing business with them. I urge you to be very cautious about purchasing anything from them, basically if you can, open any expensive parts before leaving their facility and inspecting it carefully because I strongly suspect they may be selling one 'seconds' as new (100% failure rate of a high end product like Grohe seems suspicious).

Horrible company, both Granite Expo and GE Construction.. This company needs to be shut down. Not only did the miscut or stone but they cancelled a signed contract at the last minute leaving me and my husband who are elderly living in a pandemic without countertops so sink and stove could be hooked up so we could have a kitchen during the epidemic. They use GE construction who broke the contract after signing to bullnose the granite then refused to do it and told us at the last minute that they refused to finish the job and if we wanted the stone they gave us 8 hours to pick it up. We found another contractor that was able to pick the the stone up but found out they measured my kitchen and cut the stove so it would not fit over my sink without going three inches over the side and the other side would not match up with the corner of the back countertops. This left us with a poor unsightly seam and they new company said they would have to build my wall out just to get the stone to fit my kitchen counters. This decreased the size of the countertops. Granite Expo and GE construction miscut the expensive granite so poorly there was not enough with the three slabs to fit a backsplash behind the stove so the stone had to be turned sideways just to give us a backsplash. The new reputable stone and tile company said that using a tape measure to measure for granite countertops was never done. This is how Granite Expo did it they came in holding a small tape measure and spend maybe 10 minutes in my kitchen. The stone experts said a wood template is always used to measure granite countertops. These guys were fools.. They also broke my stone when they came to install it and was told that they need to bullnose the edges as per contract. The attempted to do this in our concrete driveway and broke an edge off the stone. If I had only known they had cut the stone incorrectly I would have ordered 3 new slabs but Granite Expo shut down for the epidemic and refused to finish an essential job. Other companies were finishing essential work.. I called and emailed and begged them to just let us return the stone so we could start over with the new company but hey did not answer any of my request. We had no other option except to go on with the stone we had. This left us three weeks longer into the shut down just to get the countertops so we could install the stove and sink so my husband and I could cook for ourselves. We were left living out of a microwave and washing dishes in the laundry room. These are horrible construction workers and care nothing about their clients. Please go somewhere else. The workers are lazy and not available to help when you need them. You have to beg to get someone to help you.. The foreman of the installers told me when I called him he was not finishing the job and he didn't care that we did not have it finished as per contract. GE construction seems to only be able to install minor already made project.. anything else they make a horrible mess. They are not capable to measuring, cutting and installing the stone. Do not let them do anything that is not a simple install.. They measured a large kitchen countertop and backsplash using a small hand held measuring tape. I learned later that all real kitchen installer make wood templates for countertops. They ruined my once in a lifetime perfect kitchen.. I would love to see a class action lawsuit against these companies. They decreased the value of my home by chopping up my 3 slabs of stone into a lot of pieces that could not be used properly. This is going to cost me a lot more to get this fixed after the epidemic. All companies were continuing to fulfill their obligation for essential jobs. They locked up and did not even answer their phones and emails. They was not lockdown on phones or using emails. They could have avoid all of this had they just called me back and agreed to replace the 3 broken up slabs that they cut up into many unusable pieces. Lela Kurtz

BUYER BEWARE. We purchased a 36" vanity, counter and sink unit 3 months ago. The porcelain sink developed a stress fracture in one corner with a tendril extending the depth of the sink. No, nothing was dropped in the sink, no scalding water use. Not only is Granite Expo unwilling to help solve this problem in ANY way, they fail to even recognize that the sink is clearly defective. Their solution? We pay to uninstall the vanity, transport the whole unit back to them and then MAYBE they'll give us a replacement that we then pay again to transport and reinstall. But no guarantee. Yes. Attractive pricing and units. But horrible customer service and they absolutely do not care about the customer. Never again.
