      I have a credit line open with grain technology. I have been having issues for 4 months in which the app keeps being disconnected and auto pay fails. The email customer service is very slow to respond. They keep closing out my service tickets with no solution. I did send them a payment priority mail which they should have received on March 14 according to tracking. They have not cashed the check or credited my account. I am afraid this will affect my credit score since the payment will be shown as late as of March 24 but they received the payment March 14 and have not applied it. I did call my bank and I believe the issue is resolved on their end but Grain has not reconnected my account. I also need my checking reconnected.

      In certain circumstances a users linked checking account to the system may become severed, this can occur for a number of reason including a changed username, password, closing an account or the result of an update to their banking institutions system that maintains the connection. Please note, that while the user can make payments otherwise (via check or request of e-payment) a linked bank account facilitates payment via ACH.  Users receive a monthly statement to their email address on file with their minimum payment due and specific instructions on how to pay by check. 

      When a mailed check is applied to the account it is post dated to the date it was received.

      I had an account with ********************** opened in Oct 2020. Theyre reporting that my account was charged off in April 2021 due to missed payments for 4 months. I have proof through statements that my account was current as of May of 2021 . I have transactions statements and account statements showing that I have been current with them. I have message communications through email and social media ********* messenger) of me reaching out to correct the issue with no response. I messaged them about reporting late payments even though I was paid up. They did not respond. There has been times where I could no longer use the app to login or open up. I was not notified of this charge off until I recently reviewed my credit report and they have been reporting charge off since April of 2021 even though the account statements show current and I still had access to the funds to withdraw and repay. I have even been paying an annual fee to them as of April 2023. I can provide all statements and messages to support my claim. This has drastically affected my credit report and my credit score.

      We took a look at the account and confirmed, that no payments were made between November 2020 and April 2021. If your Grain account becomes 120 days or more past due at any point, it is considered a charge-off, which is a derogatory **** on your credit report.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I uploaded proof that I made the payment April 15th and the due date wasnt until April 27th of that month and during that time my account was not charged off. Even my statements for *** showed that my account was current because I made the payment on time! If my account was charged off then why was I still able to withdraw and repay funds on the same account? Why did I not receive notification from the company that my account was charged off or even late ? Your app was not working during that time for me to be able to log in and see what was going on so I made the payment as soon as I was able to before the due date ! That is why I was able to continue using the account because it was not charged off at the time. If it was charged off since April of 2021 then why do I have statements showing that my account was current after that date ? If it was charged then reinstated then why continue reporting the charge offs to the credit bureaus when I am current ? This has drastically affected my credit worthiness due to inaccurate reporting. I can upload all of my statements showing that I have been current along with me reaching out to discusss the inaccurate reporting with no response !

      The customer has been more than 120 days delinquent on more than one occasion throughout the account opening. There were also payments not being made between August 2022 - December 2022. As mentioned if the account is delinquent at any point it can be charged off.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This response is not explaining or excusing the inaccurate reporting being done. If the account was charged off then it should have been charged off, which means Im notified of the account being charged off and for that account to be closed. My account was still open, to charge off the account means they have assumed it was a lost. If it wasnt a loss because they received their money before the due date every time then it is not a charge off. This company sends me statements that my account is current but then reports to the credit bureaus its charged off ! If Im current then it should report current , if Im charged off then my account should have been closed and I notified so I couldve resolved the issue and not have it report as charged off for 2 years even though Im making payments and receiving statements showing Im current.

      On May 1,2023 at 12:16pm I paid 796 to grain technology to settle out an outstanding account I had with them to close n delete my account. However its still reporting on my account negatively and lowering my score and I cant get approved for my new house or anything because this is hindering me

      I have been trying for the last few months to log into the app provided by Grain which has been unsuccessful to pay or get a payment settlement in place for my loan. they have been giving me the run around when it comes to logging in they will not provide a payment settlement as I have contacted them via email my problems isn't resolved and the affect it has caused on my credit reporting is damaging as I am in the process of trying to purchase my first home. I would really love to have a settlement payment so I can just be done with the company.

      At the outset, it is important to note that Grain is not a Debt Collector but rather the first-party servicer for creditor partners. By definition, creditors and first-party servicers are excluded from the debt validation requirements because they are not debt collectors under The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (*****).
       To open an account through **********************, a user must first acknowledge and agree with the Grain Terms of Service, Partner Credit Agreement, and Account Opening Disclosure, which specifically go over our credit reporting policies. After that, the user can refer to their Account Opening Disclosures and Credit Agreement at any time on the Grain Application or refer to the copies sent to the email address the account holder used to sign-up to Grain. 

      During the life of the customers credit account, that account is serviced by Grain, including the provision of monthly statements and, through Grains technology, the payment of monthly minimum fees to the associated creditor partner. If the user misses a payment, they will receive notices via the Grain application and/or the email used at sign up. In doing so, Grain is not a Debt Collector as defined under the ***** but rather a first-party servicer. 
      If a customer seeks to report that an account was opened without their consent via identity theft or otherwise, a case is opened with Grains compliance department, and an investigation is conducted.

      I have been using grain technology since August 2020. I just start having issues with this creditor since last year. Whenever I try to make a payment the system is shut down and the only time I can actually contact someone is through ******* which I dont think thats a great idea sharing my information on social media .. they have reported my account late every month and I have email them multiple expressing to them I can not login in the system its telling me its not working or shut down .. when its time for me to make a payment my statements have already pass which puts my credit account in a terrible status.

      I have not been help I was told that someone would reach out to me nobody has not reach out to me I had to email them 5 times ! No response so I email a guy I spoke with a week ago he finally responded. 

      I find this very unacceptable and for me to begg for help is sad I reach out to someone on ******* about making payments in the pass and constantly asking is the system down 

      i was told in October in 2023 that system was fix but it **** still down .. the late payments should have been removed

      Thanks for reaching out. In reviewing your account it does appear that is is charged off, we understand you had some issues making payment back in October 2023 and due to our ACH service provider being down we were unable to change your bank account at that time. We did provide you with a payment link on October 4, 2023 to make payment by alternate means to get your account current but you did not use it. We did not hear from you again until March and during that time we only received two payments. Our customer support team did provide additional information about settling your account should you so choose but we did provide alterative option to make payments including the option to mail in a check or money order, instructions can be found on your statement.

      I am rejecting this response because on October 4th 2023 I notified ****************** The support team that the link does not work. I was ignored and did not receive a response back. Also I did not experience any issues with paying my account until the software or system was down that guys already confirmed, so how could I look at my statements that I only receive on the app to mail in a check if I couldnt log in. If your support team wouldve responded back to our conversation and told me to send a check or money order if the link was not working , that wouldve been helpful for me, But I didnt receive a response back after I told her multiple times the link was not working. So after that i decided to reach out to your media team, since I couldnt get help from any of the support team and the last message I sent was October 8th 2023 expressing how no one has help me. I was ignored .. my credit is being destroyed and didnt received a message back until November 6, 2023. 
      I understand I did not respond until March my apologies but I am in the military and I had to attend a 5 month training before my deployment. the app and emailing you guys was the only source I had and counted on for help due to my time being limited and me being extremely busy. I have also been putting in disputes about this situation and I am getting a message saying something completely weird .. I have deleted and re installed the app and its still showing the same page.
