  These courses were instrumental in helping me to achieve my goal of becoming a fully certified building inspector. I was originally using another company and failed my residential electrical exam. Thats when I found Thompson Learning, after using their exam prep I passed on my next attempt as well as passing on the first attempt for the next 4 commercial certifications. I used the exam prep as directed and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend this program.

  What Ive learned from the courses I purchased from TLC, is that you need to be familiar with all of the material. These courses are a good way to get yourself involved in the books and also to be comfortable with the repetition. Nobody should be expecting the learning course to be exactly the same as the actual exam. That would be impossible. They use whats in the book and thats all that matters. It allows you to think quickly by narrowing down the best fitted answers. It takes knowing the entirety of the book material and not just what is in the ****** course. This practice is part of being able to learn more than one way. The ****** course was designed with similar feel to the real exam. It wont be handed to you. I noticed the practice examples from the course are close to where youll be looking in the book during the actual exam. This ****** course has really helped me in the right direction. It takes knowing all of the material on your own and utilize all of the practice that is offered in the learning course such as the flash cards and practice exams to be ready for test day. I especially exercised this course as practice prior to taking the actual exam so I would be warmed up for the real exam. I appreciate the productivity of this learning course to enhance my capabilities including repetitive practice. This program really boosted my confidence! Its a must have tool for a test and is better than the other ones out there!!!

  i took the class on b1 residential and your program was so thorough that your test and prep turned out to be harder than the state test. i aced it after 40 hrs of study and would highly recommend this site for anyone ********************* City of **********

  I am a seasoned builder that needed my building inspector certification. If you follow there advice and study the book with there help you will pass. There tests are the best. Unlimited retakes which gives you the confidence and knowledge to pass the *** inspection course first try **********

  ************ - **************** 8/2/23 Thompson learning center was very helpful throughout my study course for my master electricians license for my city. Not only did they tell me what i needed to do , but they also pointed me in the right direction for another masters license for another jurisdiction . They even gave me a full refund on another program i purchased but did not need for the new electricians license. When i needed questions answered they were a phone call away and every time I called them, a real person was on the other line giving me direct answers to questions i had about what programs to purchase for what licenses i may need. THANK YOU to the employees at Thompson learning center , And thank you to the people who created such an easy to understand electrical licensing study course.!

  I passed my ******* **** Commercial Building Inspector exam this week and wanted to send a note to thank you for the increased confidence that your program gave me. I have been working as a Residential all-trades inspector for a year and a half now, so was already very familiar with how the codes are laid out. Therefore, the chapter-by-chapter sections of your training program were probably not as helpful to me as they certainly would be to someone just starting in the field of inspection. However, the course proved to be worth every ***** I spent because of the flash-card and simulated exam features. And, your constant emphasis on the importance of using the index and table of contents is without question the key to passing these types of exams. After skimming through the first sections, I spent many hours using the flash cards to practice finding the appropriate sections. And then, the day before my scheduled exam I completed a simulated exam. Scoring a **** on that exam dramatically increased my confidence walking into the exam center the next morning..........I knew I was equipped to pass, and I did. So, again, thank you for the role that your program played in my success. I will (and already have) strongly recommend it to others preparing for ICC exams.

  ******* G.I took the *** Plumbing IRC and Commercial exam passed both the first time after only using Thompson Learning courses for short as 2 months. This system was a better study aid that the people that wrote the International Code Counsel study book and flash card proved worthless. I used the book to find the answer and still had 50 minutes to spare to correct questions I was not sure about. I was a field supervisor and not a desk jockey. I did not sit there and read codes questions all day this really help. It not like the state journeyman exam the answer are clearer. Open book exam are ****** and there always two places to check in the book before you commit to an answer. If your a tradesman in the field you will grasp there methods quickly and feel confident of your answer. I was glad I passed it was prerequisite to holding on to my job. Will be purchasing other study aids for combination inspector also.

  Purchased the C60 study material; audio, visual, books, etc.The online testing software is dinosaur era. It's divided into:1. Streaming Video and Audio 2. Flash Cards 3. Non-Graded Quizzes 4. Exam Simulations The software structure and questions on the flash cards, quizzes, and exam simulations are completely identical, and never rearrange in order. So you end up memorizing the order of the answers over understanding the answers themselves.There is a MASSIVE amount of contradictory answers, flat-out false information, spelling errors, and repeat words. Sometimes, a question will repeat the same word 3 or 4 times in a row. "If the the the electrode is..." Does this material not get proof checked? When I took the state exams, out of the 115 +/- questions on the state exams, only 3 or so were reviewed in the study material.Whoever makes this material clearly does the absolute bare minimum, and then inflates it to make it seem worth the price they sell it at.I can say with confidence that I'll never make a purchase through Thompson Learning, Inc. again.

  Nice people but information for c-7 was really out of date. Very little info on networking and lots of info on antiquated tech like low voltage relays and pots lines. Helped with about 30ish questions. The rest I was on my own. Although it did get me studying and the format of the test is very similar to actual test. Info in the video and practice test did not always correlate. Video was inaccurate and dated but practices test were better. It made me go through the code books more thoroughly. I did pass the first time.Hope that helps.In their defense another book I ordered on amazon wasn't much better
