The business propertyrecords.com gets you a property report (it wasn't helpful). It says you will be charged $1.00 for your first report. It isn't clear that you are agreeing to a monthly charge of $28.95. I logged a complaint in April with my bank. I was charged $28.95 on April 29th and again today at May 28th. I called and was told I had to officially cancel the membership. They agreed to pay me a refund for 5/28 but I still have $28.95 from 4/29 for which I would like a refund.The website is very deceiving. Thank you.Business Response

I believed I was entering into a $1 one time transaction on my home records on propertyreps.com. That $1 was posted followed by $6.95 that following day. The following two months I was charged $9.95 I called the company at ************. The employee said I had done two searches is why I was billed $9.95 for those two months. This is untrue, this company is running a scam that I caught at $19.90 and they will not reimburse me for. What they are doing is fraud, even though it isnt a large amount of money per person, the sum of the peoples money being lost to this scam warrants the BBB to get involved.Business Response

Like so many other customers, I believed I was entering into a $1 one time transaction. Then I was charged a monthly fee. This company has so many complaints. It is set up as nothing but a scam. I called. The employee said the account would be canceled. How can I trust this scam business to stop using my information. I want my monthly fee refunded. I live in *******, **. I received a notice from you regarding the property I just purchased on April 15. I mailed out a check by mistake, but I also contacted the customer service to cancel it. I specifically told the representative not to process it. She told me she requested the cancellation. Somehow the check was still cashed on May 3. I called back again on May 4 and requested a refund. The same lady answered the phone and told me she processed the refund and I should receive a check within **** business days. It's been seven business days and I haven't received anything. I tried to call back again, but the office is closed. Please process the refund. The amount on the check is $109.50.Business Response

I have been requesting a refund from a company by the name of Propertyrecords***** I NEVER even heard of this company until I saw it on my bank statements. I spoke with one of their representatives and they assured me that my account would be deleted and I would receive a FULL refund. They told me I signed up last July? No I didn't sign up. They gave me an email that they said I used and it's not my email. They also said my name was*******. I have had the same email address for over 10 years and my name has NEVER been ******. I requested the refund on July 10, 2022 and I was told it would take up to 10 business days to receive my refund. Today is August 4 and I'm still waiting. I filed a complaint with my bank and they issued me a new bank card. In the mean time I am still waiting for 7 months of a refund at $18.95 each month. I moved last July from one state to another and the bank thinks that's when my information was stolen and used by a scammer. I didn't notice the withdrawals from my account until this July. After reading reviews regarding this company, on your site I see that I am not the only one that has had money taken illegally from them. I am seeking a full refund.Business Response

5/5/2022. I recently contacted Propertyrecord to cancel an account I did not agree to nor signed up for. The customer service Rep I spoke with via telephone, verified from my "email address" that I had and account dated back to August, 2021. I deduced that the online record search for one dollar was a good deal, and so provided all the personal data required-which included a valid payment card. The way this company online site advertises, is deceptive and misleading. The info it provided is free from the State . No in-depth info was included in Propertyrecord's report. Never received any other information or services from them to date. I have paperless bank statements with one of the banks i do business with. Unfortunately, because I only have one transaction pass through, I didn't always check the bank statement. It was only this month that I noticed that there was a recurring $18.95 charge that I did not recognize. I immediately had the bank cancel and reissue me a new bank card. I believe this site is purposely designed to defraud. I would like to request that I be refunded the full amount drawn on my account, not just the last or one months charge posted. I would also request that this company be labeled as a Fraudulent Business.Business Response
