    I had received dental services in 2017 and 2018 from Redwood Dental. I paid my portion and my dental insurance paid their portion and I hadnt thought about it since. In February of 2023 I unexpectedly received a mailed invoice from Redwood Dental that had no details except for a balance owed by me, in the amount of $646.08!I tried contacting Redwood Dental for a week and finally spoke to ****** on 3/2. I told her there must be some error, which she immediately disagreed with. She told me the total was a combination of mine and my wife's balances. It seemed strange that the bills for 2 separate individuals from 2018 would be combined into one without any notation of it; this caused me to further question the overall accuracy. I researched online and I found out the Redwood Dental practice was sold between 2019 and now and I found out there is a 4 year Statute of Limitations on medical bills in CA! After receiving 2 itemized invoices in the mail on 3/11, I still had strong doubts about accuracy. I called in again and spoke to ****** on 3/13. I asked her about the 4 year limit and she confirmed I was beyond that but told me my wife's dental service was still within the 4 year limit. Even though our records state her last visit was 2/19/19. I asked ******, what was the portion of the bill that was still inside 4 years and she would not give me that, she just repeated the total amount. She told me her ********* morals and ethics means she would pay if it were her. To me it looks like this amount could be $31.60. Even though I still question it, I would pay that as a compromise.Based on the age of the invoice, the fact that the practice was sold, the fact that the first time we are seeing these bills in 2023, how can we possibly trust that Redwood Dental's invoice is accurate? The business needs to take responsibility for its poor billing and record keeping and write off the entire balance from mine and my wife's records.

    We have read the claim and we do feel this is an error. 

    The referenced patient account balance was a ZERO balance even prior to the dates indicated on the complaint. 

    The individual's account of events does not seem to coincide with our ledger. In any event, the account is at a zero balance.
