    June 1, 2024 I received an email asking for payment for a photo used in a document. I do not know what photos or documents they are referring to have received no correspondence from this company. As stated on the BBB website for this company, an Alert says this company will never ask for payment in cryptocurrency. The email I received stated the settlement could be made in cryptocurrency. In addition, neither of the links in the email sent from this company works. Here is the message I received:From: ***** Bath ******************************* Subject: Intellectual Property Infringement on skippertips.com Message:Hi We have tried contacting you via your social media and email, but are yet to receive a response.It has come to our attention that you are using our client's photographs on skippertips.com without a valid licence.We have already posted out all supporting documents to the address of your office.     Dear ****,

    Our email was hacked by scammers a couple of months ago and this is a phishing attempt. Please disregard and delete it. They have sent thousands of these out and we have an IT security team as well as the US Marshal looking into it. We are sorry for the inconvenience and are doing everything we can to stop it. That is why we have posted warnings on our websites as well as here on the BBB to alert people about this issue.
