I bought two clean vehicles with VIN(s) ***************** and 5UXKT051J0V98638 on December 18th and 19th respectively from DAPPER CAR SALES. But, I didn't elect anything in any kind of form to transfer the value of the clean vehicle credit to them. The dealership told me that they get $4000 when I bought a used electric/hybrid vehicle, and was willing to use that amount as a deduction towards the vehicle price. Hence, I bought two of them in two days. Until then I was unaware of the fact, and I am till this day still learning how the whole thing works. I was unaware they filed any kind of paperwork with you/ on my behalf; and there was any option to elect the transfer of the credit/ value coming out of my federal tax return. I didn't fill out any paperwork, or elect to transfer the credit. But now, I am faced with even bigger surprising fact: I have found out from my tax accountant that out of the $8000 ($4000 each for 2 cars) the dealer received for selling two clean vehicles to me; I have to return the $8000 back, because I don't qualify for the credit: due to our joint family income level.Whatever situation that has arisen is due to the mistake, greed or negligent misinformation of the dealership; and I am being asked to pay for it (come up with the difference). The only reason I bought two clean vehicles in two days from the same dealership was because it mislead me: on its willingness to transfer the rebate/credit facility it was getting (from whom: state or federal I had no clue of) to me. Now, I have come to know that it might as well be its marketing strategy.I want the dealership to return the $8000, to the *** or me: cause all this happened due to their mis-information/ negligence/ fraud.

I recently bought a car from Dapper. List price was ******, then they told me about non-negotiable forced $2000 anti theft tracker (great, now they know where I am at all times) and a $2500 full warranty, within 5 days of purchase, the complete electrical system went out. Headlights randomly dimming, radio shutting off, infotainment screen broken (can't change any vehicle settings now), transmission is failing, cigarette lighter broken, lots of interior trim falling off. This is a 2012 *** 128i, not a 1999 ****** altima. I immediately called dapper the moment the first issue happened (radio, infotainment settings screen and transmission shudder) while in the freeway and they basically told me "we won't even consider filing a warranty/repair claim until you are stuck on the side of the freeway. Misha is the salesman who said this to me. I then offered to pay for the service myself, and they still refused to let me file a claim. So now I'm stuck with a broken car that WY won't fix, and I obviously can't fix it elsewhere or else it voids my warranty. I filed a chargeback with my card, and dapper responded by adding a SECOND transaction, BACKDATED to last month when I bought the car. I'm in utter disbelief that this situation is even occuring. So now they've refused to fix my car, refused to let me PAY THEM to fix my car, and if I fix it anywhere on my own I lose my entire warranty and i have to eat the thousands it will take to make this car roadworthy. 0/10, these people are fraudulent operators preying on good people rwady to buy a seemingly adequate product, only to rugpull and dance around the issue, and go behind your back and file duplicate charges?? This has gotta be some FTC violation for sure.

08/29/2023 ******* They told me nothing was wrong with the car (they lied)I purchased a car on the above date the same day I got home about an hour after that I went to leave in the car which is a 2013 ************* GLK350 went to start it up and heard a loud noise I called them right away the young man I spoke to name is *********** he said he will talk to his Boss which is her name ***** about me returning the car she told him I didn't sign the form for the cool off didn't think I needed to. So, I went down there before my 48 hours was up and she wasn't there, and he was he told me to take it to a licensed mechanic shop which I did, and the mechanic said it needed both a timing chain and an oil pump gears inside of the motor. I called them back and told them he said the car had a warranty on to call them. the shop called and he was told it's not covered due to the fact the car lot knew it was like that before I got it. so, they can't approve it. I really believe that they knew the problem with this car and still sold it to me. please help me I just want my money back. They are not trying to do anything about it. Then they go text me and tell me to try to get the car down there. The mechanic advised me not to drive the car due to the chain could break. No, the car shop is not trying to do anything about it.the car was on Car Gurus saying it runs well with no problems.I read the ********** Law about the cool off it said there that even if you didn't sign you stay have the right to take the car back If anything is wrong the motor needs to be repaired and I don't feel I have to deal with a car like that early.

    Hello,

We've had maintained continuous communication with the customer since receiving the complaint and had taken proactive steps to address the issue. Subsequently, we arranged for the car to undergo thorough inspections at two separate mechanic shops. Both inspections confirmed that the car was free of any issues. We are dedicated to ensuring the satisfaction and are here to address any questions or concerns.

    Best regards,
    Dapper Car Sales

I bought a used car from Dapper Car Sales May 20, 2023. We agreed for the priced to be as advertised which was $12,999. I only had $5,500 in cash. I wanted to find a car for that price and not have to get financing, but was convinced that since the down payment would cover almost half of the price of the car, the monthly payments would be low. None of the paperwork they had me sign in office (customer report too big to attach) had any numbers or pricing on it, so I could only go off of what was discussed and there were several provision that were not verbally disclosed, including optional services being told as required. I agreed and we proceeded. After making one monthly payment and seeing it posted, I saw that my $5,500 down payment was not put against the loan they got for me for the car. I went back through the paperwork and confirmed that the price of the car was $12,999 as discussed, I found that Dapper had. taken out a loan for the full price of the car, but did not put my down payment against the loan as they said they would. They inflated the price of the car by the amount of my down payment, so my down payment would go directly to them and not towards my loan like they told me. I spent the next few weeks emailing and calling them, leaving messages trying to figure out what was going on and they have not gotten back to me since. I want them to either adjust the pricing for the price we discussed, or to put $5,500 towards my loan like they said they would so I can refinance my loan to a better monthly payment.
