Horrible company to deal with if your insurance doesn't cover everything. $4000 for a unit with a lifetime warranty but $800 a year for maintenance parts that doesn't even fix the error you're going to have in less than a year. Worthless company that is exploiting the sick.

Began having problems after 6 uses. Customer service told me past 30-day return. I argued equipment not working properly. they repeated 30 day. 2nd call again repeated 30 day. Asked for a higher employee no result. 3rd call shifted around one stated my complaint needed to go to sales person who is no longer with company. i stated I bought direct from Inogen no middleman equipment not working so someone at inogen needed to address my issues. Put on hold while speaker supposedly talked with others only to come back with 30 day. $3000 lost run from in0gen rove 6.

I requested a refund of the Inogen One G4 unit that my mother purchased in Dec 2022, as part of the 30-day free trial offer. She was quickly declining and decided to return it. However, I was unable to reach a representative for instructions on how to return it, in the days just prior to the end of the trial period. The sales agent who had hounded me to buy the unit finally took my call, just after the trial period had ended, and refused to give me a refund! I am still awaiting my refund from Inogen.

They bill you for their equipment when they decide you don’t need it anymore, even though you do per your Dr. and your insurance IS paying for it. They take advantage of the elderly!

I bought on 2/2023 an INOGEN G5. I, also, purchased the Lifetime Warranty on this Product all for $3991.00. On 1/18/2025 this Product stopped producing Oxygen. I called Customer Service and was told that a new Unit would be shipped out to me. Given that I have COPD, I needed this to happen as soon as possible. Yesterday, 1/21/2024 I was called and informed that a 'replacement' unit would be shipped. I was, also, told that the Column change is supposed to be done every 12 to 18 months. I explained that I was never told this information. She said, 'she couldn't go back, just forward'. REALLY. She told me that on page 8 of the Manual it states that the columns need to be changed. At no point in my manual on page 8 does it state this information. On pages 20 through 22, it shows you how to change the columns, BUT again, it does not state that the columns must be changed every 12 to 18 months for $118.00. I believe information was not explained (and withheld) at point of sale. I, also, believe that Inogen in more interested in the sale than supporting the products they sell. Very Poor Customer Service.

Inogen continues to bill my insurance for rental fees even though the equipment was a purchase not a rental. My pulmonologist has sent a prescription stating I no longer qualify for oxygen as they keep billing for service fees as well. An Inogen employee named B****** recently confirmed that the equipment was a purchase, that I own it outright and that the note from my doctor was received, yet they sent another bill a week later having billed my insurance again for illegitimate fees. To me this amounts to Medicare fraud. They won’t call me back and continue to ignore requests to resolve the issue. A very shady and untrustworthy, unethical company.

Product is great. The customer service people are incompetent. I've talked to two that actually know the product. I was told I owned my equipment and next call I was told I did not. The canister in the home concentrator needed to be replaced. Instead of sending the canister they sent a DeVilbliss piece of junk and a return box for my Inogen. Had issues with the replacement so they sent another one same brand. Then find out they are no longer in my insurance network. Called to get a return box and find out they should have sent a new Inogen home unit because I OWN IT! So to return their equipment, they sent just a label, no box. I had to call and be in hold for 40 minutes just to get a box. And then I m told when I get the box call back to get the label sent. Got the box-Its for an Inogen and too small for the DeVilbliss. So now I have to start all over again!!! Unless they get better Customer Service I COULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS COMPANY. It scares me to think what would happen if I were having an oxygen emergency!!

Bought a refurbished at-home concentrator mid November 2023 through the Plano, TX facility. One-year warranty. Concentrator failed in May 2024. Customer Service hold times were extreme with no option for a call-back, so called my sales rep, Shane (sales depts. always answer the phone). He messaged them, and eventually they called back, and eventually shipped a replacement. The replacement failed in June 2024. Same story, except that Shane was "on another call ... will call you back ASAP." Never called back. Now I want them to come get it and refund my money. Two pieces of junk in less than a year. I left the message, no response.

The Inogen unit is ok until you have to call customer service. You will then be on hold for 30 minutes to 2 hours before you get a customer service agent and you only have a 50/50 chance that they will help you. ***** J
