I used LegalZoom last year for their services. Come to find out on the receipt after you pay, it states they will charge you a yearly fee. I was only made aware of this from the *** told me. they refused to refund me.

Date of transaction: 10/24/25 Amount paid: $383.20 **************** package (for setting up LLC entity)I made the transaction above for LegalZoom's services and carefully went through the process declining most of the extra plans/services being offered because I only wished to pay for the most basic elements to set up my LLC. Then yesterday it came as a shock to see that I am to be charged $49 for a monthly service called "Business Attorney Plan" that I never wanted in the first place. I THEN understand that this feature is included in the overall package for the first month, but there is no clear explanation that after the first month, there will be a monthly $49 charge because on the email receipt, certain line items don't have a price and are instead designated as "Included" or "See below*" with an asterisk footnote at the end of the email stating that ************** renews automatically each month, billed to your card, for the service price (currently $49)." It's not until I am notified of a pending $49 charge to my credit card that I realize I am subscribed to this "service".I find this tactic to be an extremely sneaky, dishonest way of getting additional money from an already paying customer. You were seemingly transparent about the major features of the ******* plan, so why then resort to semi-omission for customers to get tricked into a monthly subscription plan? Suddenly discovering the new charge a month afterwards really ***** what was originally a deceptively satisfactory purchase from a company touting itself to be helpful in walking customers through legal and application processes. I went back to your website to see how this ended up happening, and I see that additional services are offered with no clear pricing but with a cross or double cross footnote that explains enrollment in the monthly plan(s). This smacks of intentional obfuscation. What other charges are pending? I demand a refund and that you put a stop to this trickery!

I am seeking a refund of $199, which was charged to my credit card for a LegalZoom subscription on November 10, 2025 that I never authorized, never approved, and never knowingly enrolled in.I have a receipt for the one time service I purchased on November 11, 2024. The receipt clearly shows a single service charge and does not indicate that I was subscribing to any type of annual or recurring service. There was no notice, disclosure, or indication that any ongoing charges would apply. I contacted the business in November 21, 2025 and they informed me they could not authorize a refund because it was outside of the refund ********* business was located in **********, and under California law, including California Business and Professions Code Section ***** and the Automatic Renewal Law, companies must clearly and conspicuously disclose all automatic renewal terms before charging a customer. They must also provide an acknowledgment after enrollment that includes the recurring terms and the cancellation policy. I did not receive any disclosures of this kind, either before or after the ************** addition, the ************************ requires clear and affirmative consent for any negative option or auto renewal program under the Restore Online Shoppers Confidence Act. ROSCA prohibits charging a consumer for goods or services sold on a recurring basis unless the seller has provided clear terms, obtained express informed consent, and provided an easy method of cancellation. I did not receive clear terms, I did not give express consent, and I did not receive any acknowledgment of a subscription or instructions for cancellation.

I have been scammed by this company for over 5 years. I noticed the is month that they had been taking funds out of my bank account once a year for the past 5 years. I have called them for a wee straight and they cannot find my name, my debit card or my address in their system. They are not helping me with this issue and they said they cannot find my transactions. I have bank statements showing they took money from me. My bank also is not able to help me because they said its too far back.

Order #******** paid for on 9/29/25 but they havent followed through on filing the paperwork. They continue to email me saying there is a problem and for me to chat with them to get it fixed. On 3 separate occasions over the last 2 months, Ive told them that we are a church and do not file tax returns so they can go ahead and file the paperwork I sent back at their request. Everything has been ready to file and they have multiple times assured me they would file it but then they dont. Instead another email is sent stating there is a problem and to contact them. Its like a broken record. Whoever is helping me in the phone call each time says they are handling it and keep assuring me of that. Again, on 11/17, I called. **** spoke with me. For the maybe fifth time I was told the same thing about tax returns. I told him again that we dont file tax returns and the Secretary of State knows that. Weve been a church for 35+ years and have never been required to file 990 forms. **** put me on hold for over 15 minutes (which was fine with me) and came back and said he looked into it and that I was correct about us not having to file tax forms and that the documents will be filed within 24 hours. Guess what? Today, 11/19/25 another email stating again to contact them because they need more information. I chatted with **** in escalation. We got disconnected. My doing. I just cant spend anymore time on this and there is no value in using Legal Zoom for this as their communication between departments is beyond poor. They usually do a good job for me but I dont know what happened. I tried to fix this with them for several weeks and they arent responsive or seemingly able to just follow through. Id like them to file the documents right away. If they dont, send me a full refund and mail me back my original documents and I will file it myself. I hate filing complaints but I feel I had no other choice. **** *****

Ive been told numerous times that my case was being escalated and then nothing was done and nobody followed through. Thats the reason I need BBBs assistance. I dont trust that they will follow through because they have set the prevent that they havent in the past. I purchased a ************************ from Legal Zoom on July 22, 2025 to add my husband to a parcel of property I own in ************. After 6 weeks of my order just stating "On Track" I reached out and learned they sent my request to a third-party Go Deeds. Go Deeds is impossible to contact and Legal Zoom states they cannot assist when I contact them. I would like them to honour their guarantee and cancel my request and refund my $333.00 as no service has been rendered. They continually refer me to Go Deeds for resolution and they cannot be contacted. As the company I paid and the company that contracted with Go Deeds they have a responsibility to ensure the companies they do business with are reputable.

This is about a credit / refund of $ 249 that legal zoom posted into my Fidelity credit account . I called both business for months already and until now I havent received this credit into my fidelity credit card . This 249 was subscription that I did not even want but I was charged then disputed it and work with both business and undisputed it so that the credit will be put back into my fidelity card but then it did not get through the credit and for months calling both business asking for my money and until now I havent got my money back and I need your help to get my refund / credit of 249 into my fidelity card.

I'm consistently getting charged $259.00 for LegalZoom even though I already communicated and established with customer support that my card was being charged by an employer I had no longer worked with since September 2024 and a subscription that had been canceled since March 2024.

I used LegalZoom to complete an LLC. They did not tell me there is a monthly service fee of $49 each month after paying for the service of establishing a LLC. They have made it extremely difficult to cancel this service that I never knew I had nor asked for.
