    I was charged $119 for a 6 month subscription plan. I attempted to call in to cancel on 9-6-25 and 9-7-25 and unable to speak wth a live representative. I cancelled the plan and requested a refund. I was informed it was too late. I am requesting a refund.

    I had Legalzoom listed as a registered agent. I closed my LLC in 12/2024. I thought that was all I needed to do, because I dont need a registered agent with no business. The yearly fee had been $249. I received a charge on my bank account for $399 on 8/29/2025. I tried online chats where I was told I have to speak to a subscription specialist. I waited for a return call, which didnt take long, and was asked to hold 1-2 minutes. After 25 minutes they abruptly hung up on me. I tried chatting again. Had to wait for another call. This took another 40 minutes on hold. I was told they will not refund my money even though they arent providing a service. I looked back and found one email from 7/30/25 stating the increase in fee. My sister died unexpectedly 7/28/25, and I somehow missed it. They would not budge. I no longer have this business or even live in the state. My previous address was *************************************. On the account, they have a debit card listed that expired in 2023 with a number that was deactivated due to fraud 2 years ago. Im not sure how it went through, but I have also filed a claim with my bank. I want my money refunded.

    on 8/22 I put (2) separate request in I requested and amendment of ownership with a 60% and 40% change me being the primary owner. Legalzoom put the initial request in for a company that is no longer in business, so I called back the same day 8/22 because I hadn't received anything via email regarding my request. I found out from the *** that the previous was not valid from the business that doesn't exist; however, I was still charged $264 for the amendment and $108.95 for the operating agreement. The second ***. assured me that she would fix the issue and place my request under the correct company which is ************************** well she didn't. I paid a second time for the same request and the ***. assured me a refund and that I was never charged. My bank account has been charged 4 times 2 transactions in the amount of $264 and 2 transactions in the amount of $108.95. The escalation team claims they don't see where I was charged and/or I was refunded. My bank accound still reflects a total of $745.90 from Legalzoom as of today 8/26/2025.

    08/22/2025 - date of transaction LegalZoom - upcharged without consent after LLC formation. They called me after i completed my application and the representative told me my existing membership was complete. The following day they billed me a $249 charge in additon to the $500 initial fee I paid. I found this to be a fradulent practice. My bank even flagged the transaction as fraud. I'm guessing they have seen this company do this before. I went to my account and saw that I was put on subscription that I did not opt into. When I check it was very clear that I only purchased PRO for $500 and everything else was declined. This business is blatantly acting fraudulently. Their customer service follow up call seemed very odd and the person on the phone seemed like he had an objective.

    Transaction Details Dates: June 2025-July 2025 | Total Paid: $963.10 | Credits: $647.00 | Seeking: $316.10 What LegalZoom Committed During recorded June 1, 2025 phone consultation, I specifically explained needing home address privacy protection due to political advocacy work creating safety concerns. Sales representative recommended ************************ ($249), explicitly stating it would provide required privacy protection and prevent home address public disclosure.Service **************** Violations 1. Fraudulent Misrepresentation: Despite paying for privacy protection, my home address was immediately published in Maryland public records. Received fraudulent mail at residence targeting my business.2. Concealed Proper Solution: LegalZoom possessed ******************** for actual address privacy but never offered it - fraudulent concealment improperly advised..3. Deceptive Practices: Added $199 State Compliance through misleading "10-day free trial" auto-conversion violating consumer protection laws.4. Breach of Warranties: Services unfit for specifically stated privacy protection purpose.Resolution Attempts Seven documented contacts over 3 months (April-July 2025). LegalZoom representatives admitted:- Registered Agent cannot provide public record privacy - Virtual Mail was appropriate service for my stated needs - I wasn't properly informed during sales consultation - Acknowledged systematic service failure Legal Basis Contract Rescission: Material misrepresentation warrants complete restitution under consumer protection laws. LegalZoom's $647 partial credits acknowledge wrongdoing but inadequately remedy failures Demand Full refund of $316.10 for misrepresented services. Alternative legal remedies include small claims court, state AG consumer protection complaints, and class action participation if unresolved through BBB mediation.

    On June 30th I was charged $199 for a registered agent service which I never received a renewal invoice for. I subsequently changed my registered agent and asked LegalZoom for a refund. After much back and forth my request was denied. I filed a chargeback and again LegalZoom used the notification I never received as proof I was aware the charge was coming. This all occurred Around 7/15 and all I wanted was a prorated refund and was denied that.

    Date of Transaction: 8/8/2025 ************* Was told between Friday 8/8/2025 and 8/12/2025 I would recieve a call to get this resolved. I have not received 1 incoming call from them. In the 4 days I made numerous calls and was sent to all the wrong departments and ***** knew what was going on. I purchased for piece of mind and conveince. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. They took my money and ignored me and spun me around causing me to be delayed and not meet the deadline to a huge marketing event. THE WORST PART THE SUPERVISOR SAID HES NOT GOING TO REFUND ME BECAUSE I YELLED AT HIM! I purchased a service from them that was not met and I am losing money from this. I was lied to, and disrespected on multiple occasions. I have numerous emails from ********** *******. Parkeesh, ******** a phone call with *** who was also SCREAMING AT ME!!!!!

    I am filing this complaint because LegalZoom has continued to charge my account despite my explicit cancellation of their services. I canceled my services with LegalZoom and clearly informed them that I no longer wished to be billed. Prior to the most recent charge, I spoke with a representative to ensure my account was canceled and no further payments would be taken.Despite this, LegalZoom proceeded to charge my bank account. They processed the charge in a different manner similar to a recurring subscription so that it bypassed the stop I had placed with my bank. This was done without my authorization and against my expressed wishes.I have contacted LegalZoom multiple times to resolve this matter, but I have only received excuses and no resolution. Each representative I have spoken with has been unable or unwilling to address the unauthorized billing or issue a refund.This conduct is unacceptable and does not reflect best business practices. I am requesting:1.An immediate full refund of all unauthorized charges taken after my cancellation.2.Written confirmation that my account is permanently closed and no further charges will occur.3.An explanation for why my cancellation request and prior communication were ignored.I expect this matter to be resolved promptly.Desired Outcome: Refund, account closure confirmation, and written assurance of no further billing.More info if needed

    I filed my LLC with Legalzoom because I am on a budget, I wanted to make sure I was not paying for additional services I did not want nor need. For some reason, I get this State Compliance subscription added to your package. I was unaware that this was a yearly subscription service. They fail to tell you this information just like a scam. This is not a good look for LEGALZOOM. They need to be transparent and upfront with their practices. I just got charged 199 for a service I do not want, need nor was aware of. Now, they say they are going to give back 100 discount instead of my full refund. This is not fair for a company that is advocating for ***** services to perform.
