              My 3 year contract was up March 3rd 2024. It is now April and I just received a call from Life Alert. They asked for my payment information. I was surprised because when I signed the contract I was told that after the 3 year/36 payments of $89.95, that I would own the unit, but would have to pay the service fee. That I could give it to my niece if I wanted. But now I'm being told that the unit does not and will never belong to me. That I need to return it if I don't want the service. I'm so disappointed and surprised with Life Alert. I'm giving a two star only because my mother used your service two times. The operators respondse was 7-10 minutes from the moment the button was pressed. But they did answer. Not happy at the end of my contract!

              Hello, we take feedback seriously and reviewed your account. We do not sell our equipment, as it is FREE TO USE during the service provided.  It is stated in our advertisement as well as in our Service Agreement. At no time were you told that you would own the equipment after our Service Agreement matured. However, the service can be transferred to another family member by request. 

              We also reviewed our recorded documentation and each time your mother used our services in an emergency, we answered her call for help in under 60 seconds.  The last emergency she had 2 months ago, we answered her call immediately and EMTs were helping your Mom within just 13 minutes. 

              Since our equipment is the property of Life Alert, it must to be returned back to us if you no longer need it.  Please call us at **************, so we can make arrangements to retrieve our devices. Thank you, Life Alert.
