The services rendered to me by the ** was due to a car accident. The bill was handled and paid for by the insurance of the at fault driver. The payment included an agreement that this company, once paid to the allowed amount cannot come after me or anyone else for further payment or collections. They are ignoring the signed contract and are giving me a final notice.Business Response

********************** / Vituity, sent me a bill dated July 7, 2025 for a ** visit that occurred on April 26, 2025. My insurance company had already paid the majority of the bill. What angered me is that this is their first attempt to notify me of who to pay the balance to and the bill is already marked "Past Due" and "FINAL NOTICE".When I logged onto their website with the information provided in the bill I see there are already 4 billing periods listed, July, June, ***, *****. How are customers supposed to pay a bill when they have no clue who to pay or where to pay it before it is *********************** is bordering on criminal behavior by waiting 4 months before sending a bill, then claiming it is overdue. I have worked very hard to achieve good credit and don't appreciate a false late payment note on my credit report. Next step what? send to collections? GET HONEST!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: the company did not address the real issue, that of not billing me prior to mailing a "Past Due / FINAL NOTICE". They state a bill was sent to the address on file, I am subscribed to **** Informed Delivery, and prior to July 14th, there are no letters from CEP. Text messages, if they really were sent are not considered an acceptable billing format due to fact that CEP personnel know that multiple cellular carriers are blocking them. Email or Postal mail are acceptable. Also as to any phone calls, I do not answer phone calls that come in as "SPAM" without any caller ID, and they never left a voicemail message until after payment was made.
If the case is resolved as the company has stated, why after payment was made, did I receive a phone call at 6:56pm July 16, 2025 from caller ID "Medical Payment Reminder" ************ requesting payment be made? There were no phone calls prior to payment being made, it only began 36 hours after payment was made in full.Vituity / CEP California America as a billing company is completely incompetent and is violating state and federal laws in attempting to collect a debt after it acknowledged that the debt has been paid by providing a receipt when I paid.
Sincerely,
**** RasBusiness Response

I received care from the emergency department at ******************************************* on 3/26/25. The physician billed through Vituity. I received my first bill from Vituity (statement date 06/26/25), which already is labeled as "FINAL NOTICE". On the said bill, Vituity mistakenly recorded my primary insurance as "SELF PAY/NO INSURANCE" while putting down my regular insurance as secondary insurance, and charged me $1,286 without any insurance payments or adjustments. It is worth noting that both the facility bill and imaging bill of that ER visit used the right insurance information recorded at the hospital. I attempted to contact Vituity to dispute, but I was put on hold for over an hour during their business hours. I expected a call back as the automated system suggested, that my place in the queue would be saved. I never received such call back. I contacted my insurance carrier the next day. I was informed that a small claim of $26 is billed to them from Vituity, and the situation seemed like a mistake on Vituity's end. My insurance representative attempted to contact Vituity, but was put on the same lengthy hold with no resolution or answer. We have since decided to pay the bill to avoid it going to collections. However, we do expect this issue to be resolved within a timely manner. I have THREE main concerns in this complaint against Vituity:1. The wrong billing practice needs to be corrected and further steps must be taken by the company to avoid such mistakes. I demand compensation for what I do not owe.2. **************** must be able to answer customer phone calls or give call backs within a reasonable time frame. I demand an apology. 3. The statement I received in the mail is the first statement regarding this visit that I have received; in their online system, there is a previous statement on 5/22/25 that I never received. The "FINAL NOTICE" printed on the statement seems to be erroneous and appears to be a pressuring tactic. I demand an explanation.Business Response

Received a bill in the mail with zero information. Contacted company by phone and left message on voicemail, email 2 times, ******** messenger, Instagram messenger, LinkedIn messenger with zero follow up from the company. Ill be seeking an attorney if the company fails to inform me what this bill is for that has zero information on it. You legally cant bill someone repeatedly with zero information and threaten to bring it to collectionsBusiness Response

This company is horrible. I have paid the bill for 3rd party services rendered at the hospital ER, HOWEVER, they continue to call and harass me daily. I have tried calling back and NOBODY EVER answers. Your caught in and endless phone tree menu to only be put on ignore. My record for waiting on hold is 30 minutes. I've tried calling at all hours, doesn't matter. The bill has been paid, I want them to ACKNOWLEDGE THAT and stop being harassed.Business Response

Used emergency room at ******************** In November of 2024 and gave them my ****************** and supplement insurance. About 6 months later got a bill from vituity for doctor services. tried to reach them and never could. I was on hold for over 40 minutes and gave up. Tried 2 other times and the same result. They now want me to pay them or they will turn me over to a collections agency. I tried talking to SSM and they just connected me to vituity phone. *** should take responsibility and they will not help. They state the doctors bill on their own. I have no way of talking to anyone to resolve this problem. I have asked for a response on their website and nothing happened. I don't know how to resolve this problem.Business Response

I received a bill from Vituity recently that says 'FINAL NOTICE'. This seems like a scam because this is the first bill I have received. The bill does not have any details. On the Vituity website, I entered my DOB and account number from the bill and it says there are no matching records. I have called multiple 866 and 800 numbers and no one ever answers. The automated system shares websites that don't exist.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: my mailbox is not full on my phone and I received voicemails the same this company claims they tried to leave me a voicemail. I have attached a photo proving my voicemail was working normally the day they claimed they called (6/23). Also, I called the number they provided and there is no option to dial an extension. I waited on hold for almost an hour again with no answer.

I received a bill a few months ago from Vituity out in **********. I had no idea what this company was and there was no explanation of what the bill was for. They had an email address on this bill that I reached out to. Unfortunately no one must work at this company because no one answers these emails. I received one email back, and they explained I was being charged for some medical visit back in January in which I had already paid the facility. I asked why I would owe twice the amount with three more emails per the attachment. Still no answers. I just received a letter in the mail stating it's my final notice and my account will be sent to collections. Yet I still have no answers as to what this bill is and why I should be paying some company in ********** when I live in ********* and went to a provider in *********. I even asked for some type of discount or write off since I can't afford to pay this bill. I need some explanation or reason as to why I'm owing money and why I'm being sent to collections when I've had one bill sent to me and no customer service.Business Response

I did not receive the phone calls listed by Vituity and I never received the first bill. I emailed 6 times with no response and will sit on hold for hours. Unfortunately this company makes no effort to assist the customers that they bill. There may need to be a change to the way you handle things and actually be correct in calling the correct person and responding to the emails customers send you. More explanation as to what this bill is would be more helpful. As everyone online says this company is a scam and I'm sure the phone number you call from come up as a scam call so one would not answer.
Luckily, I was able to get a supervisor and they were able to help me with the payment of this ridiculous amount.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to
complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
