    Business Response

    Date: 04/21/2025

    Dear BBB

    In Response to the complaint,

Thanks for taking the time to review this dispute.

    I cannot give a refund.

    Two Doors were installed.
4 Days of labor were spent in this including responses to client complaints equaling much more than our initial agreement of $725
    accumulating $1280 in labor/millwork and material sourcing/milage.

Our initial agreement was honored and wood was milled/installed to the door Frame to make the proper space for the bi-fold door.

****** responded that the door did not open smoothly a second time.
I offered to adjust it as it needed only a minor adjustment. She refused so I offered to return it which she agreed upon but ********** would not accept it as the door was in perfect working order.

As a final gesture of good will I can offer to return the door to the Miss Gock although she will need to find someone else to install it.

Doors were sourced through Home depot,
First one was refunded due to the door being broken ( a fault in the manufacture ) and second one was refused a refund due to the door not being broken and in perfect working order.

Thank you for your time, acknowledgement and helping to clarify our dispute.

    Regards,
    ***** K Farallon

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:No legal experienced and professional business would ever agree with not completing a project (door unsuccessfully installed) for a client to mean equal of a completed a project, and then collecting the money without working it out with the client with more options than simply a minor repair for a door that should have been professionally advised not to install in the first place( ie) due to manufacturing issues) or if simply unable to install due to lack of experience - at least tell the customer the truth or work it out with the customer on options.

The door was tried and returned twice!  This should have been a sign and a knowledge by any experienced contractor that this door was not going to work and offer other options (other types of doors perhaps or other hinge on the other side to have the door not fall of the hinges and almost injure somebody trying to open it)?

This is an incomplete project and a violated illegal break of contract especially when the invoice clearly indicates the dates and project details scope that states a project is to be completed before payment is received.  I have clearly lost all of my money for no reason, no door installed as intended when coming in contract with this vendor, and now am suffering additional costs to get my door frame repaired(Because it was installed poorly) and worse off incur delays for my future projects I had deadlines for.

I am never working with this vendor again nor would I ever recommend to anyone.  This vendor has no license and proven no experience in this type of carpentry nor general contractor position.
I have tried negotiating before escalating, payment reimbursement and the vendor rejected.  I am done with this dispute.

    Sincerely,

    ****** G
