            On August 29, 2023, I purchased a 2017 Jeep Renegade, along with a Platinum extended warranty, from Palm Springs Kia for $15,909. Upon purchase, the vehicle had approximately ****** miles, and I was reassured multiple times that the car had undergone thorough inspections and had no known issues. However, on October 18th, 2023, just a few weeks after the purchase, the vehicle abruptly stopped shifting and emitted smoke from under the hood. When I contacted Palm Springs Kia, I was directed to a ************ center where it was determined that the issue was with the clutch and flywheel, items not covered under the warranty due to being considered wear and tear.Despite my attempts to seek assistance, including leaving multiple messages, my calls went unanswered. It forced me to rent a vehicle for 10 days to manage my daily responsibilities. Only after numerous attempts, on November 3rd, I was offered a loaner vehicle by *****, the service manager, which I picked up on November 6th.The ************ center confirmed that the extent of clutch damage was severe and could not have occurred within the short time since my purchase. Additionally, they indicated that *** would have been able to identify the issue before the sale. The total repair cost exceeds $4500, including the rental expenses of $500.Despite persistently trying to reach out to resolve this matter, and after almost two months of waiting, I was informed by the sales manager on December 7th that corporate declined any assistance with the repair costs.Given the circumstances, I am requesting that Palm Springs Kia takes full responsibility for the repair expenses incurred due to the premature failure of the clutch and flywheel. Additionally, I request reimbursement for the rental car costs as a result of the inability to use the purchased vehicle during the repair period.

            They had a $10k markup on a Kia Sportage. They refused to sell a car at sticker. They didn’t want my financing but instead wanted to run my credit so they can finance me. What for? I have my own financing. Insanity!
